Integration isn't the goal. The business process is.

It's easy to start an integration project by talking about APIs, platforms, middleware, and architecture.

But there's a better question to ask first: What needs to happen?
Does a customer need an answer immediately?
Does an order need to trigger several downstream processes?
Does provisioning depend on information from inventory, billing, or network systems?
Can parts of the workflow happen independently?

For broadband providers, a single customer journey can cross CRM, BSS, OSS, network, billing, and third-party platforms—all with different requirements and timelines.

That's why successful integration isn't measured by how many systems are connected.

It's measured by what those connected systems allow the business to accomplish.

In our latest article, we look at why the business process—not the technology—should drive integration decisions.

Your network doesn’t have a data problem. It has a visibility problem.

ONTs. Routers. Switches. Access points. CPE. Different vendors, different portals, different ways of reporting data.

When your team has to jump between multiple systems just to understand what’s happening, troubleshooting takes longer and important signals can get missed.

Centralized device monitoring changes that.

With one operational view across your network, teams can:

🔹 See device health and performance across vendors
🔹 Spot issues before they become subscriber complaints
🔹 Trace problems to their root cause faster
🔹 Identify traffic and performance trends
🔹 Turn device telemetry into tickets, workflows, and automated actions

In our latest blog, Jeffrey Boozer breaks down how centralized monitoring—and ETI’s Intelegrate Observe, Connect, and Automate—can turn scattered device data into something your team can actually act on.

Every unnecessary truck roll is more than a service call—it's a missed opportunity.

For broadband and telecom operators, truck rolls impact far more than fuel and labor costs. They reduce technician availability, increase operational expenses, delay customer resolutions, and create unnecessary churn risk when problems aren't fixed on the first visit.

The good news? Many truck rolls never need to happen.

With real-time device visibility, connected operational systems, and remote diagnostics, operators can resolve more issues before a technician ever leaves the yard. And when a dispatch is necessary, giving field teams complete context dramatically improves first-visit resolution.

Jeffrey Boozer explores the biggest causes of unnecessary truck rolls—and the strategies broadband providers can use to eliminate them.

What started with a recording at Fiber Connect has grown into one of the broadband industry's longest-running podcasts.

Over the past six years, The Broadband Bunch has welcomed hundreds of leaders, innovators, and experts to share the ideas shaping broadband. Along the way, it's become more than a podcast—it's become a community built on meaningful conversations.

In our latest blog, we look back at the journey to Episode 500, the moments that defined the show, and the people who made it possible.

Thank you to every guest, listener, sponsor, and supporter who's been part of the ride.

Building the network is only the beginning.

As broadband deployment accelerates, the conversation is shifting from where to build to how to build sustainable service providers that can thrive for years to come.

In our latest Broadband Bunch blog, Jeff Gavlinski, CEO of Mountain Connect, shares his perspective on the trends shaping the industry's next chapter, including:

• AI and emerging technologies
• Sustainable ISP business models
• Workforce development
• Wi-Fi 8 and the evolving customer experience
• Why meaningful industry collaboration matters more than ever

For broadband providers, success won't be defined solely by network expansion—it will be driven by operational excellence, strategic partnerships, and preparing for what's next.

AI agents are changing what automation can do in broadband and telecom.

Detecting network issues, supporting provisioning, improving customer service, and simplifying reporting are just a few of the ways AI agents can take on complex, multi-step tasks that traditional rule-based automation can't always handle.

But successful AI adoption starts with the right foundation: connected data, open APIs, and clear governance.

In our latest blog, Jeffrey Boozer breaks down how AI agents work, where they're already making an impact, and what service providers should consider before putting them to work.

Data silos creep in over time as billing, CRM, provisioning, field service, and network management each evolve independently.

The result?

❌ Duplicate records.
❌ Conflicting information.
❌ Manual workarounds.
❌ Slower decisions.
❌ A frustrating customer experience.

The good news is that you don't have to replace every system to solve the problem. The key is creating an integration strategy that allows your existing platforms to share accurate, reliable data across the organization.

In our latest blog, Jeffrey Boozer explains:
✅ How data silos form
✅ The operational costs they create
✅ Why they're so difficult to eliminate
✅ Practical steps broadband providers can take to break them down

In our latest The Broadband Bunch blog, Rob Lawrence of Microsoft explains why the future of agentic AI won't be determined by the models themselves. It will be determined by governance, clean data, well-defined processes, and organizational readiness.

"You can't automate what you don't understand."

Before organizations scale AI, they need to understand the workflows they're automating, establish clear ownership, and ensure their data can support autonomous decision-making.

Broadband networks are being asked to do more than ever before. Success depends on more than deploying fiber—it requires resilient infrastructure, smart planning, strong partnerships, and a workforce prepared for what's next.

In our latest Broadband Bunch blog, Anis Khemakhem, Chief Commercial Officer at Clearfield, shares why modular network design, practical engineering, and collaboration across the broadband ecosystem are essential as operators navigate BEAD deployments, AI-driven demand, and rising infrastructure costs.

What happens when every employee has an AI assistant?

In our latest Broadband Bunch blog, Rhyan Neble of Extended Systems Intelligence (XSI) explores how agentic AI is changing the way broadband providers approach software development, operations, reporting, and decision-making.

The conversation goes beyond the hype to focus on practical applications: open APIs, interoperable systems, AI-powered dashboards, workflow automation, and governance frameworks that help organizations use AI responsibly.
