If the same little task keeps showing up on your to-do list every week, that's your repeat offender. The email you copy and paste. The spreadsheet row you retype. The reminder you send by hand every time.

No code tools can take those off your plate, but no code doesn't mean no thinking. Start with one task. Write the workflow in one sentence. Leave a human check in the chain. Then let it run.

New to using AI in your business? Here’s a little framework that might save you some head-scratching. AI works at three levels:
1. Draft: Crank out a first version quickly.
2. Edit: Make your stuff clearer, shorter, and easier to skim.
3. Decide: Weigh options, compare tradeoffs, pick the simplest next step.
Most small businesses do just fine starting with Draft and Edit. The Decide stage? Yeah, it’s powerful, but you still call the shots.
Here’s the real Auntie truth, if you’re stuck trying to let AI decide for you, you might just be dodging the work you actually need to do. Which level will actually make your week easier? Let me know.

Paul Roetzer lives and breathes AI, yet even he admits every morning feels like stepping into the unknown. If you peeked at AI last quarter and called it a strategy, honey, that’s just a map. Models you trusted in January got replaced twice by now. Tools you bookmarked? Tossed aside for free versions that do more, faster. Meanwhile, your competitors? They’re not stuck rewinding, they’re already sprinting ahead since February. This isn’t a tech problem talking, it’s a curiosity problem, and that’s the one thing you can fix today. No fluff, no sugarcoating, just the truth that your polite business coach won’t dare say. Ready to stop catching up and start leading?

Let's not pretend every post has to be a perfectly polished piece designed to sway the masses. Sometimes your brain is a riot, full of clutter, noise, and chaos. I don't post to influence you. I post to clear my own head and dump that mental mess somewhere. If your brain does the loud marching band thing too, maybe this is your emergency exit. This isn't some polished content strategy, it's clutter removal. So if you want to see a little realness in a world full of noise and marketing fluff, welcome. Honest truth from someone who's been around the block: your brain noise will not calm down until you actually deal with it. So stop expecting magic, start dumping clutter.

Small business owners keep dreaming of ease, but they treat new AI tools like an unexpected bill. Here's the truth, love: ease doesn't land before you do the awkward work. One command, one try, that's the formula. Stop circling the button like it will bite. Press it. The AI isn't magic, it's just waiting for you to talk to it. Get past the hesitation and that ease you want will show up. It’s simple but not easy. Start with one instruction, and remember, ease is earned, not handed out.

TIL “I do not feel it” is a real publishing filter, not an excuse.

Kelly Boesch talked about how many videos never make it out of her drafts. In her AI Festivus presentation, she mentioned she posts once a day, but only the pieces she actually feels. The goal is not to explain a story. It is to create a vibe that lets people, often seniors or people who are grieving, step out of their life for two minutes.

In a world where AI can generate endless content, that kind of restraint might be the real differentiator.

What would change if you let your gut veto one “perfectly fine” post every week?

TIL AI is secretly a courage tool.

Jim runs a self‑storage business. One day a conference lost their speaker and asked if he could fill an hour with 30 minutes’ notice. Instead of saying no, he opened Gamma, told it the topic, and built the slide deck live in front of the audience.

The only reason that worked is because he already had a daily practice of “playing” with AI. The tools were familiar enough that a crazy idea felt doable instead of terrifying.

What is one invite, pitch, or talk you *could* say yes to if you let AI handle the heavy lifting?

TIL the most fragile places in the AI era are not big tech companies. They are community spaces.

Erica Lamont spoke at AI Festivus, and described how enterprises have cookie policies, privacy teams, and governance frameworks. But maker spaces and art studios mostly have vibes, handwritten notes, and volunteers doing their best. The dangerous tools are often in those shared rooms, not corporate boardrooms.

What I loved was her focus on using AI to turn “this is how we do it safely here” into real cards, SOPs, and playbooks people can see and use.

Where in your community could clearer guidance plus a little AI support actually keep people safer?

TIL that the most powerful part of an AI event might be a chat trick with a silly name.

During the AI Festivus wrap up, they called it a "chatterfall." Ask a question. Everyone types their answer. Nobody hits send until the countdown. Then the chat floods with honest, unfiltered reactions. No back-and-forth. No performance. Just a snapshot of the room.

That tiny ritual did more to prove "you are not alone in this" than any slide could.

If you run workshops or lives, do you have a ritual you use to help people actually feel each other?
