First, for decades, the housing projects of Chicago's Cabrini-Green were terrorized by a ghost story about a supernatural, hook-handed killer. In present day, an artist begins to explore it's macabre history, not knowing it would unravel his sanity and unleash a terrifying wave of violence that puts him on a collision course with destiny.

Second, after Cobb is killed in a car accident, his wife and young daughter move into an old house haunted by a Native American curse. Soon they begin to experience scary and unexplained phenomena.

First, this sequel follows New Orleans a schoolteacher, who, while trying to clear her brother of murder charges, summons the hooked, legendary killer. The film delves into his origins as the son of a slave, uncovering a dark, multi-generational secret connecting him to the teacher's family and a tragic, prohibited romance.

Second, a comedic horror fantasy in which Jesse inherits a mansion, only to discover it's a nexus of interdimensional portals. Alongside his friend, he resurrects his cowboy ancestor "Gramps" to protect a mystical, treasure-filled crystal skull from zombies and demons.

The spooky occurrences in the house, filled with grotesque monsters, are linked to his unresolved guilt from the war and his family's history, turning his attempt at a new chapter into a terrifying journey through his own psyche.

Second, in this unrated version, graduate student Helen Lyle investigates the urban legend of a hook-handed, supernatural serial killer who haunts Chicago's Cabrini-Green housing projects. By summoning him through a mirror, Helen becomes the target of his psychological games and gruesome murders, forcing her to confront the reality of the myth.

NCom Film Club's Deadly Christmas Month Tonight!

First, a man named Billy Chapman who, after witnessing his parents' brutal murder by a man in a Santa suit, is traumatized by an abusive orphanage and its sadistic nuns. When he grows up and is forced to dress as Santa for a job, his past trauma leads him to go on a yuletide killing spree, punishing the "naughty" with an axe. The film is known for its controversial premise of a killer Santa and its blend of holiday cheer and graphic violence.

Second, Ricky Caldwell, brother of the killer in the first film, is released from a mental institution and begins a new killing spree. While recounting his past and his brother's trauma to a psychiatrist, he escapes and murders a Salvation Army Santa. He then embarks on a mission of revenge against Mother Superior, eventually succeeding where his brother failed.

Tonight, Wednesday November 5th, NCom Film Club begins Herbie Month! Double Features each week starting at 7pm.

First, has-been professional race car driver Jim and his philosophical mechanic Tennessee find themselves in possession of a white Volkswagen Beetle that seems to have a mind and spirit of its own. Naming the car Herbie, Jim and Tennessee become the talk of the California racing circuit. Sports-car dealer and circuit contestant Thorndyke tries to use his assistant to come between the friends and their car.

Second, Hawk is a mean-spirited property developer who has bought several blocks of land in the downtown district in order to build a gigantic shopping mall. There is one problem however; an elderly widow named Mrs. Steinmetz who won't sell the one remaining lot that Hawk needs to proceed with his scheme. So he resorts to all manner of chicanery, legal or otherwise, to get it. After they discover Alonzo's plans, it's up to Herbie to save the day and save Mrs. Steinmetz's home.

Tonight, Wednesday October 29nd, is the fifth and final week of NCom Film Clubs All Night Hammer Horror-Thon! Each Wednesday this month we played five classic Hammer Horror films! Starting at 6pm instead of 7pm.

Second, in 1972 London - a century after his final battle with Professor Van Helsing - Count Dracula is resurrected by occultist Johnny Alucard, and goes after his archenemy's descendants.

Third, in 1974, Professor Lorrimer Van Helsing investigates a satanic cult on behalf of Scotland Yard, only to discover a plot by Count Dracula to commit global genocide.

Fourth, Baron Frankenstein works with a mental patient to reanimate the dead.

Fifth, in China, Professor Van Helsing helps eight kung fu-trained siblings reclaim their ancestral mountain village, now the domain of seven powerful vampires and their army of undead slaves.
