Phishing scammers seem to be on the rise and they don't need a license!

We at PC CoPilot have received several messages from our clients about phishing emails recently and we'd like to take a moment to explain what they are and what (if any) actions you need to take when one comes around.

Phishing is when someone attempts to gain information or access by impersonating a reputable person or company. They tend to use any publicly available information and/or information they gained from other phishing attempts to seem as credible as possible.

>> Phishing can happen over the phone, in an email, or even through a letter in the mail, but we'll focus on email for now though as it is typically the most common. > The worst thing you can do is follow a link or rely on a phone number provided to you in a suspicious email.

When Lockport Brewery expanded to their current location, they had inherited the wiring and network infrastructure of the previous owners. HEADS UP. WE'RE MOVING!

PC CoPilot has had a great 7 years providing computer services to all of you from our location at 4200 Munson Street in Belden Village. Recently the office building sold and subsequently our lease was not renewed. With that, our last day on Munson will be tomorrow April 30th.

We have secured a new space in the area, and will be providing the same level of service you've come to expect from the PC CoPilot team. Keep an eye out for updates and don't be afraid to give us a call for all of your computer needs. We will announce the new address after the office is set up.

** Because we are moving, service appointments will be limited tomorrow, 4/30, through Monday, 5/3; but we will still be available by phone or email if you need to reach us.
