Drug Package, LLC is seeking flexographic press operators. Printing Press experience is required. Additional .50 - $1.00 shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shift.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Setup, operate, monitor, and maintain printing press.
Follow work instructions on job ticket.
Independently, perform changeover functions on equipment
Follow quality procedures and perform product inspection as necessary.
Achieve standards for output, waste, and quality inspection as necessary.
Accurately complete documents at press, quality inspection signoffs on order.
Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to self-motivate and be industrious.
Ability to read, print, do basic math.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

4 Years of prior Flexographic Press experience is required.

8-hour shift + overtime
2nd Shift -Mon-Fri | 2:30 - 11:00pm
3rd Shift - Sun-Thur | 10:00pm - 6:00am

We are seeking positive, team-oriented applicants that are interested in becoming a part of our growing company. Drug Package Inc. is a climate-controlled facility specializing in pharmacy packaging and supplies since 1881. Positions for new team members are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Shift differentials of .50 for 2nd shift and $1.00 for 3rd shift.

JOB SUMMARY

Running the presses in this department requires you to have knowledge of each of the three positions at the press: loader, operator, and catcher. In addition to this, you will need to learn how to run the manual press. Running these presses requires you to learn how to turn on these presses, troubleshoot common errors, run the press efficiently while performing quality control checks, box the product, shut down the machines, and enter your work into the computer.

We are currently seeking multiple press assistants to join our team! These are on 2nd and 3rd shift. Mechanical knowledge and/or previous machine operating experience required. These roles have growth opportunities to move into a Printing Press Operator role with higher pay.

JOB FUNCTIONS

· Read work orders and check for correct die/perfs
· Learn press functions
· Start and stop press when needed
· Watch stripping for breaks
· Fold shop towels
· Make sure pink glue is always filled
· Read orders for quality amount and tell operator when finished or to stop press
· Keep eye on print quality and notify pressmen of any problems
· Get ink for job/take back unused ink/keep in order
· Check paper for next job
· Keep empty skids cleaned up
· Open paper, keep organized
· Sweep up/keep area clean

COMPETENCIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

· Good communication and organizational skills
· Detail oriented with good time management
· Must be able to multitask
· Able to lift 40-50 LB
· General knowledge of mechanics or previous press operating experience required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing and or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting.

- Able to lift 40-50 LB
- May on a continuous basis stand for long periods of time and stoop, bend, and kneel frequently.
- May handle, feel and reach for items in and around press area and continuously grasp products from a conveyor for up to 8 hours. Moderate to frequent walking and lifting and or move 50 lbs. (20 lbs. repetitively) is required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish color variations, peripheral and depth perception.

The physical demands described above are representative of this that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
