When I started this business over 20 years ago I chose the name Alpha Geeks because the Yellow Pages still ruled and having the word "Geek" in our name meant computer-fixing expertise. Today, having the word Geek in our name brings an unexpected twist.
Every week, we get 5 to 10 phone calls from people asking why we are charging their cards for a service renewal. Every single time it turns out to be a fake Geek Squad invoice scam. ๐๐๐๐๐. ๐๐๐๐๐๐. ๐๐๐๐. Scammers are always trying to separate you from your hard earned money.
On the positive side though, we are glad these folks call us instead of the fake number on those fraudulent invoices as It gives us a chance to chat, clear up the confusion, and remind everyone that we are a independent, local company with a stellar reputation!
