Repost: With the long-awaited release of the AIR 5400 launching today, I felt that it was finally a good time to share my experience from this summer working as a Video Production Intern for Corsair!
Going into the program, I had great aspirations towards expanding my technical, creative, and professional skills. With my experience lying primarily in narrative filmmaking and having little knowledge of the PC/gaming industry, I knew that I was going to have to dive into working against a pretty steep learning curve, but the warm and supportive welcome I was met with by CORSAIR only fueled my enthusiasm to take on that challenge to expand my skillset!
In the 12 weeks of my internship, I expanded my creative perspective through copious opportunities to contribute to both developing and preexisting projects; I gained crucial knowledge and industry-standard practice with quintessential creative software, including DaVinci Resolve editing & color grading, as well as Adobe After Effects motion graphics; I was also introduced to the workflows and procedures of corporate marketing team dynamics. I got to observe and be a part of every stage of these networks, allowing me to get hands-on experience with foundational pre-production administrative planning, all stages of production operation & creation, and post-project analysis and processing.
As a part of CORSAIR's internship program, interns are given the chance to give a 5-minute presentation at the end of the term to showcase their goals, accomplishments, and other highlights from their internship. Due to the expressly unique nature of my position, I felt that my presentation needed to be made equally creative in order to justly encapsulate my experience. As such, instead of a slideshow, I edited together a video visualizer to present alongside my in-person presentation, which I have now edited and posted with the accompanying voiceover.

Thank you again to everyone at CORSAIR for giving her the opportunity to work in such an innovative and collaborative environment, especially to the DIY Creative team, Jakob Jones, Andreas Pierson, Jesse Webb, & Clark Szeto, and all my fellow interns! Here's to a great summer and many great opportunities ahead!
