Upgraded to Divi 5 and suddenly seeing double on your product pages? You’re not alone. When I first made the switch, my WooCommerce descriptions appeared twice — and after hours of troubleshooting (with both an AI named Finn and several humans), I finally discovered why.

If your site was built before Divi 4’s Theme Builder, those old wireframes might still be hiding underneath your pages. Divi 5 doesn’t override them anymore — it displays both!

Kathy has always been a flower girl.

In the 1970s, she was the kid with dirt under her fingernails and daisies behind her ears — hand-tying wildflowers into jars and painting petunias onto her school folders. Her nickname in the neighborhood? “The Flower Girl.”

Fast-forward to today: Kathy runs a thriving floral business with a loyal client base and a delivery truck covered in hand-painted retro blooms — a groovy nod to her roots.

But when she came to me, her logo was black.

Her website was ancient.

And her brand? It didn’t match her at all.

The Black Logo (And the Printer Who Chose It)

Kathy’s original logo had been created years ago by a local printer.

They used thermography, a raised ink process that, at the time, only allowed for one color. And that color? Was black.

So Kathy ended up with a black-on-black floral logo that stuck around way too long.

We’ve been hearing about Divi 5 since 2023… and as of July 2025, it’s still in alpha. So why did I finally test it? And would I recommend it?

I installed Divi 5 on a staging site, ran real plugins, worked with custom CSS, and even did some image troubleshooting. It’s smoother, faster — and I deleted a boatload of old CSS. 🙌

But I wouldn’t go live with it just yet, especially if you’re running WooCommerce.

I've never been a gardener. I love looking at beautiful gardens. But dirt underneath my nails is not something I enjoy. Even wearing gloves I end up with dirt under my nails. Ugh!
