ENDORSEMENT ALERT:
Our Local is proud to endorse Board Member Norma Orozco for the AD18 ADEM election along with Sarah Arveson, Miya Cain, Stewart Chen, Yoana Tchouklea, and Allyssa Victory.
Register TODAY to vote in the ADEM elections taking place this February. Every two years, the California Democratic Party elects 14 people from each Assembly District to serve as delegates in the State Democratic Central Committee. Together, these ADEM delegates have a huge say in who the party endorses, what issues the party prioritizes, and what policy ideas become law.
For far too long, only party insiders knew about, ran, and voted in these elections. This is why it’s so important that YOU register to vote. You will not get a ballot unless you register online specifically for this election (it’s how the party keeps it an insider game).
Take these 3 steps today:
Check your voter registration at https://registertovote.ca.gov/. Are you registered Democrat? Great – go to Step 2. If you are not, you can still vote in the ADEM elections if you change your registration to Democrat, even temporarily.
Go to ademelections.com and choose “online voting registration”. Submit the form, receive a PIN immediately by email, then check your physical mail for additional instructions needed for voting. The deadline to register for online voting is Jan 31 at 12pm noon but please register TODAY to avoid last-minute issues.
Vote online in February before Feb 23 at 6pm PST. If you missed the deadline of Jan 31 to register to vote online or if you registered as Democrat after Nov 5, 2024, your only option is to vote in person. Go to ademelections.com, submit the “vote in person” form and find a list of polling places. You can vote at any location but polling places will be open only for 4 hours either on Feb 22 or Feb 23 so make a plan for how to get there on time!
