A very productive few hours in the shop today! 4 kitchen knives ready for their handles to be hand sanded. A quick test of the serrated bread knife (success). Poured honeycomb resin handle material for the next kitchen knife set, and got all 7 blades cleaned and wrapped in stainless steel foil, ready for heat treating tomorrow… I am beat!

2nd time is a charm! The 20” long ribbon burner is out of its wooden mold and set to naturally cure for 4 days before starting a slow firing process! Thanks again to Jesse Johnson and Metal Supermarkets for coming through with the square tube I needed for this project!

Since I am waiting for the refractory cement to cure on my main forge and the new ribbon burner, I had some time to work on a few stainless steel kitchen knives. I have 2 x 7” chefs knives, 1 x 3” pairing knife and 1 x bread/brisket knife (serrations will be added later).
