We've become aware of some misinformation regarding the new GigaSpire equipment being installed in homes throughout Calesa Township, and we'd like to clear up the confusion.
The Calix GigaSpire BLAST u4xg installed by Bridgenet does not support IEEE 802.11bf Wi-Fi Sensing. This means it cannot detect people, monitor movement, or "sense" activity in your home using Wi-Fi signals.
The GigaSpire BLAST u4xg is a Wi-Fi 6 router designed for one purpose: delivering fast, reliable internet and whole-home Wi-Fi coverage. It does not include IEEE 802.11bf Wi-Fi Sensing technology or any related motion-sensing functionality.
