Where does your vendor knowledge actually live?

Someone's personal contacts?
A spreadsheet two events out of date?
An email thread from 18 months ago?
A note a former PM left behind?

Every new event, you rebuild it from scratch.

Your company now has one persistent, searchable home for every vendor, venue, and client you've worked with.

Track contacts, crew, and any details you've collected so you don't have to ask again then next time you work

Your day sheet shouldn't require a re-paste every time something changes.

Dynamic Docs is live in BackOps 2.15. Your production documents now pull live data automatically. Build once and use variables to display the information important to a specific area, team, or schedule block. You can share public links so people outside of BackOps can still stay up to date with the show!

The rework stops here.

You used to fill out an advance and lose sight of it. Things change last minute, data gets updated, and you had no real way to know what needed another look.

BackOps 2.11 changes that. Every advance now has a built-in task list that rolls up into project management. As data gets filled in, tasks update automatically. When something changes after the fact, it surfaces for review so nothing slips through.

This release also ships the Crew Database, the foundation for crew scheduling and rate tracking. Start building your roster of team members and freelancers now. Plus org-level blacklisting to keep problematic vendors or former contacts from being accidentally added to your events.

At Okeechobee this past weekend, the production team ran their shop orders through BackOps. They built out equipment specs, exported everything straight to the shop team, and showed up to load-in with everyone already on the same page.

Production companies have always operated on two tracks: the work inside events, and everything else. And "everything else" has always lived somewhere messy. Emails, Apple Reminders, spreadsheets, the same file copied into every event because there was no org-level home for it.

We built BackOps to be the operating backbone for live events. But that couldn't stop at the event boundary.

Org-level tasks, schedules, and files are now live in BackOps. Internal work, warehouse assignments, standard documents, anything that belongs to the organization rather than a single event now has a place. It all rolls up alongside your events so you can see everything in one view.

The file library is the start of something specific: right now, standard documents get copied into each event separately. The next step is associating org files directly to events so you update once and it's current everywhere. That work starts here.

Also in this release: saved views on task and crew tables. Set your filters once. They're there when you come back.
