Phase 1 on-prem development has reached a major milestone, marking a significant step from idea to reality. The final AI cluster configuration is centered around a single flagship Blackwell-class node, complemented by the necessary infrastructure to support Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, storage, and observability. To ensure accuracy, hardware choices have been anchored to current specs, with publicly visible pricing used where available. In cases where pricing is not publicly available, such as the GPU node and certain enterprise gear, budgetary estimates have been provided. My Executive Preferred build consists of a robust combination of hardware and software components. The configuration includes 1x NVIDIA DGX B200 as the primary AI node, 3x Dell PowerEdge R7625 infrastructure nodes, 1x Supermicro SSG-222B-NE3X24R all-flash storage node, 1x NVIDIA Spectrum SN5600 top-of-rack switch, 1x 42U APC NetShelter rack, plus PDUs and a 20 kVA UPS. This configuration is designed to provide a powerful and efficient foundation for AI development and deployment. The estimated total cost for this configuration falls within the range of $771,800 to $1,163,000. This investment is expected to yield significant returns in terms of improved performance, scalability, and reliability. The final bill of materials includes a detailed breakdown of each component, including budgetary pricing and configuration recommendations. The rack layout has been carefully planned to optimize airflow, cable management, and accessibility. With this configuration, we are poised to take our AI development to the next level, unlocking new possibilities and driving innovation. The estimated power draw for this configuration is approximately 18.5-22.3 kW, with a recommended facility requirement of 20+ kW. This will ensure a reliable and efficient power supply to support our AI workloads. Overall, this configuration represents a significant investment in our AI infrastructure, and we are excited about the potential benefits and opportunities it will bring.
