VFW Post 539 Feed the Vets Event Thursday
The VFW Post 539 and VFW Post 539 Auxiliary in Henryetta, will be conducting the "FEED THE VETS" program for veterans and their dependents on Thursday, September 3, at 11 a.m .at the New Life Church which is located at 1201 South "C" St Henryetta, Oklahoma 74437.
Volunteers are needed at 10 a.m .in order to divide the food for distribution to the military veterans and veteran dependents. If you have any questions about the VFW Post 539 FEED THE VETS program, please call VFW Benefit Advisor Tricia Bear at (479) 414-0952 or email her at [email protected]. .If you want added to the FEED THE VETS call list or if you have changed your phone number please text Tricia Bear your new phone number.

Eagles took flight at the Morris tailgate pep assembly this Monday! 🦅 It was a fantastic evening at Bookout Field as our community, families, and students gathered to kick off the new season.

Huge thanks to Athletic Director Jimmy Whitlock and Assistant Director Brandon Heath for welcoming everyone, and a special shoutout to the Morris band and our cheerleaders for bringing all the energy and spirit! 🎺📣 It’s going to be a great year for our football, softball, and cheer programs. This Friday at 10:30 a.m., city, state, and regional leaders are gathering for a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of a brand-new terminal building at Okmulgee Regional Airport! 🏗️

This project is a fantastic partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, aimed at boosting regional travel, supporting local businesses, and driving economic growth for our area. 📈

🗳️ Early Voting Begins Thursday! Registered voters can cast their ballots early ahead of the Aug. 25 election. Early voting will be available Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Okmulgee County Election Board office.

🛣️ County Commissioners Hear Seay Road Petition – Commissioners addressed routine county business before holding an extended hearing on a petition involving approximately 1,300 feet of Seay Road.

👮 A.G. Agents Deployed to Beggs – Agents from Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s office have been sent to Beggs to provide law enforcement support as the city works through its police leadership transition.

🏴‍☠️💰 Treasure Hunt Grand Prize Claimed! Congratulations to Brenda Darlene Turner, who found the winning key from Kirby’s, opened the treasure chest and claimed the $250 cash prize! 🎉
