ORF and COVID-19

Over the course of 2020, there have been some big challenges for ORF. We have had to learn how to be flexible, adaptive, motivated, and work around difficult situations. One way we have been dealing with these obstacles is by moving to weekly zoom meetings and Arduino programming classes to help our minds stay engaged in the critical thinking that ORF requires. This helps keep us highly motivated. FRC will be a little different this year. Because of COVID-19, this year teams will compete in a variety of virtual competitions so we can all stay safe.

ORF Give Local 2020 - Support STEM Education

You can help young people experience hands-on STEM education by donating to ORF's Give Local fundraising campaign today! The Olympia Robotics Federation is part of the FIRST organization, which offers students the opportunity to design, build, and program a robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. ORF is a student led team supported by experienced industry professionals. It's as close to "real world" engineering as a student can get.

Your donations are used to register ORF in FIRST Robotics Competitions and to build the sophisticated robots we use to compete. ORF also uses donations to help cover travel expenses as students expand their horizons and attend Pacific Northwest and World events.
