It's pretty simple to get AI working in a demo. The real challenge is putting it into production, which often depends on how you built it in the first place.

Our CTO, Ray Carneiro, explains that the key is using specialized agents trained on your team’s standards and workflows, instead of relying on generic models that just make their best guess.

If your team is figuring out the next steps, this is definitely worth a read.

Your AI tools are doing their job. Your developers are moving faster. But why isn’t your software getting released any sooner?

Most enterprise AI programs run into this limit, and it’s not about how good your tools are. McKinsey found that 78% of organizations use generative AI in at least one area, but less than 20% saw a real boost in delivery speed.

The real issue is structural. Using AI for individual tasks doesn’t change your requirements, handoffs, or governance. Even if people work faster, the pipeline won’t speed up if the main bottlenecks are further up the process.

QAT Global Co-President Rollie Stephens explains why this happens, how AI can move from helping with tasks to managing whole workflows, and what’s needed to finally close the gap.

✨ Employee Spotlight: Erik Miranda ✨

Erik develops software solutions that help teams and clients manage their data with confidence. He loves working with the latest technologies, writing clean code, and building applications that make a real difference. Every day is a chance to learn something new, and he would not have it any other way.

When he steps away from the keyboard, you might find Erik on a soccer field, a tennis court, or learning to surf. He speaks three languages and is working on a fourth. He also recently crossed something big off his list: watching FC Barcelona play live at Camp Nou for the first time. He is still talking about the seafood in San Sebastián.

We are lucky to have him on the team!

AI systems are not all created equal. The difference begins with their foundation.

Foundation Models are large, pre-trained AI systems that can be used for many business needs without having to start over each time. The model you choose affects how accurate, affordable, and scalable your solutions will be.

Think of models as your tools and architecture as your overall strategy.

QAT Global was proud to be a sponsor of the Nebraska IT Symposium last week at the Harper Center at Creighton University. Our Co-President, Rollie Stephens, spoke about Diamond AI Solutions and shared real examples of AI-accelerated software delivery. We enjoyed connecting with IT executives from across the region. Thank you to the Nebraska IT Symposium team for organizing another great event.

Your developers are working faster, but delivery still takes six weeks. Why is that?

Coding assistants help individual developers get more done, but they don’t solve the main problems. Issues like unclear requirements, lost context during handoffs, late misalignment, and repeated rework still slow everything down.

QAT Global CTO Ray Carneiro explains what really speeds up the SDLC pipeline in 2026. It begins with clear specifications, role-based agents, and human checks at every handoff.

Multi-agent AI looks impressive in theory. When you add more agents, coordinating them gets harder, and most teams only address these challenes after problems appear.

When roles are unclear, communication breaks down, and no one takes responsibility, even the most promising systems can become costly headaches.

Ray Carneiro has shared a detailed guide on what it really takes to get multi-agent AI working in production. If you are building or scaling agentic systems, it is worth checking out.

Imagine your AI assistant confidently giving a customer the wrong information, quoting an outdated policy, or even inventing a product that isn’t real.

This is called a grounding problem, and it’s a common reason why many AI projects never make it to production.

Teams solve this with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or RAG. This method connects an AI model to your trusted information, like documents, knowledge bases, and data, so it can find real context before answering.

When the model uses your information, its answers match what’s true for your business.
