I am a lover of books, through and through, who is excited to share with you information regarding my debut as a children's author, Picnic for Parrots. I hold a degree in illustration, computer graphics, and graphic design, and am the recipient of an AIGA Award for Illustration. I have given many school author/illustrator pres

entations to students ranging from kindergarten through sixth grade and was formerly invited to be the featured author and guest of honor at the Follett Connections Midwest. I'm an artist and dreamer, and usually have a cup of coffee or tea nearby. I live in Nebraska with my husband, two children, and four dogs and am generally surrounded by books, paper, and something to scribble down pieces of my ongoing stream of creative ideas.
