Before asking, "Should we buy Copilot?"
A better question might be: "Is our Microsoft 365 environment ready for Copilot?"
What most companies misunderstand about Microsoft Copilot:
They think the challenge is learning how to use AI.
It isn't.
The challenge is preparing your business for it.
We've seen organizations get excited about Copilot only to discover:
- Files scattered across multiple locations
- Permissions that give employees access to data they shouldn't see
- Outdated or duplicate information
- No clear guidelines for how AI should be used
Copilot is powerful because it can surface information from across your Microsoft 365 environment.
But that also means it exposes the strengths—and weaknesses—of how your business manages data.
That's why the most successful Copilot deployments don't start with prompts.
They start with security, governance, and data organization.
Copilot doesn't magically fix messy systems.
It usually reveals them.
