posted "What is your favorite camp meal?" today. This prompt took me on a journey back to last spring, when an unforgettable adventure took place in the Owyhee. When the hills are green, and pollen from all the blooms is intoxicating. Lupine bloomed in full glory, begging to be documented. Watching as the coyote runs away, and the pronghorn seem to glide over the rolling horizon. Camped in a canyon, with towering walls of basalt and rhyolite, guarded by the whirling wind, my dear boyfriend had the most amazing fire burning. There, he cooked Big Horn Sheep steaks over the fire. My first time indulging in this rare delicacy of meat. It was an unreal flavor that will be forever unforgettable on my palate. That night ended with a magical display of the full moon illuminating the canyon walls. These are memories I will never tire of daydreaming about.
I invite you to relive the experience of Lupine in the Owyhee. As we paint your choice of a wood slice or canvas with a scenery of wildflower Lupine, along a clear spring sky.Â
