VATI24 Project Update:

The FiberLync team continues to expand our service area in Orange County thanks to the VATI24 grant through Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.

We are excited to announce service is available along the following roads:

- Woodlands Dr.
- Whitbrook Ln.
- Holly Ln.
- Spicers Mill Rd. (Montford Rd. to Benden River Rd.)
- Montford Rd.
- Montford Ln.
- Liberty Mills Rd.
- Montpelier Dr.

Planned Maintenance Window: July 30th 11pm-4am

Follow-up to Fiber Cut -

FiberLync will complete the permanent repair beginning Thursday, July 30, at 11:00 p.m. The work will replace the temporary line and is expected to be completed by 4:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31.

During this maintenance window, customers may experience a temporary service interruption. Our technicians will work efficiently to complete the repair and restore service as quickly as possible.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Update 1:30: Our system shows that service has been restored to impacted customers. If you are still experiencing issues, please call (540) 360-0585 and select 'Technical Support'.

We appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve this issue.

Update 12:30: We are in the process of resolving the issue and customers should soon see their service restored. The root cause is still being investigated.

We are aware of a possible cut fiber impacting Kerby Dr. and Willis Rd.

Techs are on-site and narrowing down the location of the issue.

We do not have any existing work being performed in the area, nor are there any 811 tickets we can see.

More information will be shared as we have it.

Update 9:35pm: Crews are completing their work and impacted subscribers should see service restored. We will continue to monitor the situation.

Permanent replacement lines will be constructed over the next few days. A maintenance window will be scheduled once that is complete.

Thank you for your patience while we investigated the damage and worked to resolve it.

Update 6:40: Due to the extent of the damage, our crews have placed a temporary line and have begun to reconnect the lines.

Estimated time for (temporary) restoration: 11PM 7/23/2026

Update: 2:35: Crews are on-site and working to resolve the fiber cut. We understand the impact this can have on subscribers and appreciate the understanding as we work as quickly as possible.

Update 1:30: We have isolated the area of issue and have crews coordinating with contractors to uncover and repair the damage.

Update 12:43: We have verified that the issue is not with our site equipment. Additional resources have been dispatched to trace to the location of a break and to resolve it as soon as possible.

We are actively working to investigate a possible fiber cut. Techs are already onsite investigating.

Updates will be provided once we know more.

Update 9:39am: Technicians have identified the issue and are resolving it now. Some subscribers may see a temporary restart in their service during the power switchover.

Update 8:53am: Most customers in the Barboursville area should see service restored. Some customers may still be impacted while we continue to resolve all power issues.

We appreciate your patience.

We are investigating a power outage for our equipment in the Barboursville area. Technicians have already been dispatched to assess the situation.

Update 10:05pm: Technicians are still working to resolve the issue with some subscribers experiencing intermittent issues.

Update 4:37pm: Service is being restored to impacted customers. Our technicians are reaching out to those who placed service tickets with them.

Update 3:39pm: Our technicians still continue to work through issues and have been since the start of the maintenance last night. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Knowing that subscribers rely on this service for business and individual needs we are working to resolve it as soon as possible.
