Dear Diary: .
“F**K NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS! Reflect daily and then TAKE IT ONE STEP AT A TIME!”
Your brain and your body are only as responsive as you have made them up until today. If your brain and body are not used to waking up at a reasonable time, or going to the gym, or reading, or concentrating, then you can’t just wake up one day and expect it to do as you say just because you set a resolution. “There’s levels to this sh*t!!” .
Its like this, imagine two buckets, let’s name these buckets ‘bucket GOOD’ and ‘Bucket BAD’......For every decision you’ve ever made in your life a token has gone to one of those buckets. This means that for every aspect of your life, as of today, your buckets are either in equilibrium or one bucket has more token than the other. SO, For the aspects in your life that you have more tokens in the good bucket than the bad bucket, accomplishing tasks in those aspects is effortless. BUT, for the aspects of your life that you have less tokens in the good bucket and more in the bad bucket, accomplishing tasks in those aspects is though!!!!! .
So whenever you expect yourself to do something, you NEED to asses which bucket you have more tokens in. If your bad bucket outweighs your good bucket then take it step by step, token by token, until you can accumulate enough tokens to outweigh the bad bucket. Only then expect yourself to follow through with the tasks on your to do lists effortlessly. .
