Phishing and other data-stealing attacks are always evolving. There is a relatively new attack using the Chrome browser to tick people into giving malware permissions and stealing data.
In short, if you get a browser window that is asking to grant additional permissions or enter passwords when you are not expecting, don't do it. If you find that window is not one you can close, try [Esc] or [Alt] + [F4] to close -- if those don't work, hold your power button down for 10-seconds to force your computer off.
