To all web designers who occasionally review websites, it's essential to keep in mind that when encountering a site with errors, your initial thought shouldn't be to offer unsolicited fixes. Instead, consider referring potential clients to that business or assisting the owner in securing funds to improve their site.
As a matter of fact, the owner likely doesn't have the budget to hire a professional web designer like yourself to rectify the issues. If you're determined to offer your services, ensure you draft a written agreement outlining a future payment plan for current work. Or tell the site owner, "This is what I charge. And when you get me say 5 pai customers, I will optimize your site." Also, are you aware that your actions are be part of the problem? Every time someone visits a live site with errors without making a purchase, it results in financial losses or inconvenience for the owner (pay per click), who is aware of the site's subpar condition but may not have the expertise to fix it. On a separate note, as a / Tech, evaluating your computer doesn't incur additional costs unless you have limited internet. If that's the case, it's advisable for me or another local technician to meet with you in person to assess your device.
