Meet Moapa Valley Businesses – This September, we’re honored to highlight BROOKE’S GOOD DEEDS

Meet Gary and Shanna McPheters. They have created an organization built from love, remembrance, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in Moapa Valley.

Brooke’s Good Deeds was created to honor the memory of their daughter, Brooke, seen here in her ROTC uniform, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver in Alaska. In looking for a meaningful way to continue her legacy, her family recognized a need right here at home: a place where individuals and families could easily access food and other essentials. Also pictured is a photo of their beloved dog, Deeds, also responsible for inspiring this amazing organization.

What began as an onsite food pantry has since grown into so much more. Today, Brooke’s Good Deeds provides a variety of services designed to support local families and seniors, including home-delivered groceries and frozen meals for seniors, medical appointment transportation, VITA tax assistance, grief support groups, senior assistance services, educational classes, and more.

At the heart of every program offered at Brooke’s Good Deeds is the same purpose that started it all—supporting and caring for others in Brooke’s honor. 💗

We’re proud to recognize Brooke’s Good Deeds and the incredible impact they continue to make throughout Moapa Valley.

Meet Moapa Valley Businesses: Week 4 of wrapping up the Spotlight on OVERTON AUTO BODY and MICHAEL OCHOA

Throughout August, we’ve had the opportunity to highlight Overton Auto Body and share a little of the history, people, and values behind this longtime Moapa Valley business.

What began generations ago with a family commitment to automotive service continues today with the same focus on quality work, honest communication, and taking care of neighbors. Overton Auto Body has grown alongside our community, serving generations of local families and building relationships that extend far beyond vehicle repairs.
