I'm sorry I have to brag. I noticed how cheap older home theater speakers and equipment is selling for and...................

I just pieced together a full 90’s home theater system. Real tower speakers, real subwoofers, center channel, surround speakers, Blu‑ray, amplifier, the whole setup.
Total spent? $100.

$15 8inch sub $25 10inch sub $50 tower speakers $20 6 speaker surround system, $50 amp, speakers, 5disc cd changer (great find), $40 ebay blueray player. I'm a couch commander with 4 remotes again!

This is a system that would’ve been $2–3k back in the 90’s, easy.
Bought smart, sold one piece for profit, and my old cables etc. Living room done, soundbar in the master bedroom now paired with subwoofer, done as well.

90’s quality and power, Dvd's, no advertisements, amazing sound, all this is even on a backup-ups, so its protected from power surges and outages. Power outage? I can atleast finish my movie with the home theater playing.

Found this rusty sewing machine on FB Marketplace for $25:
Antique White “Vertical Feed” treadle sewing machine, built around 1890–1910. White’s early heavy‑duty farm‑grade machines. The Vertical Feed system was White’s premium mechanism at the time, designed for thick fabrics, canvas, work clothes, and uneven material. These machines were sold through Sears & Roebuck and general stores as long‑life homestead equipment, and many were used on farms for decades.

The machine is complete in its original cast‑iron treadle base and wooden cabinet with drawers. I freed up the treadle and the main drive shaft, so the machine cycles smoothly now. It just needs a belt to sew. Gold decals are still visible, shuttle area is intact, and all linkages move freely. A solid piece of 120‑year‑old American machinery that lives again.

Introducing the "Garden Riser". Its a cedar box, even the 2x4's, and with exterior screws. I lost to root rot this year on my yellow squash so, this is my fix for "everything". I'm going to transplant some of my garden this fall into a few of these and next year toss some of these around with yellow squash inside. Problem solved.

What this actually does:
Since Cedar is naturally mold/rot resistant it creates a "micro environment" inside the box while keeping the main root system of whatever is planted up away from earth "spores" until its mature and safe to pe*****te whatever surface you choose to use.

Got my first egg today! also started using Lemon Balm when brewing my sweet tea as well. Both are delicious. Drying sunflower, jalapenos, "fancy" cilantro, rosemary, mint, lemon balm. Going to have jalapeno dust as well.

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. — Portions of the Department of Energy Paducah Site will be redeveloped into a data center, constituting an investment of over $100 billion, the DOE announced Wednesday.

The DOE announced it will partner with Brookfield, NextEra Energy, Big Rivers Electric Power Corporation, Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative and Paducah Power System for the project, which is slated for completion by 2031.
