I want to apologize to everyone that it took so long today for the repairs on turkey foot tower . First of all we had every radio 5 of them get fried as well as 1 cable , 1 switch and a very large UPS battery backup inverter that isn’t fixed yet. On top of that the public safety equipment got hit also and had to get it fixed .
On top of that had to fight some rain and 150% humidity that was whooping us. We finished in the dark tonight but back up 100% on customer connections. Again my sincere apologies for the down time .

So after investigating Turkey Foot, the lightning strike has destroyed the majority of the equipment on the tower, including the public safety stuff. We are working to get new equipment programmed up and do a Tower climb this afternoon and will keep you updated as it goes along.

Apparently we have taken a lightning strike at turkey foot tower tonight . We have 27 customers offline . I cannot access the site till morning due to current lightning in the area. I will keep everyone updated in the morning on what’s going on .

I forgot to post earlier that there would be a small outage tonight for upstream provider equipment replacement . They said possibly 120 mins , but usually faster than that . It started at 2:30 am .

As most of you know , the power is out in cartersville. Our sites are up on battery backup if you are running generator. Power company is working on resolving the tree on power line issue on cartersville rd . Hopefully soon .

Tonight at 11pm, we will make a frequency change on the copper creek west AP. This will affect 19 customers only. It shouldn’t take long to do and we are waiting till late so service is disrupted minimum. Just giving everyone a heads up in case you’re down for a couple minutes. Thanks

There will be a maintenance window on May 13 at 12:01 AM till 6 AM for 120 minutes for a operating system update from our upstream provider. These updates usually don’t take that long but I want to give everybody a heads up that it will be coming. I will post again once it gets closer.
