What did technology look like before smartphones, Wi-Fi, and cloud computing?

As part of Stanford Research Park’s 75th anniversary celebration, Retro Roadshow gave visitors a chance to get up close with rare computers, classic video game consoles, and other artifacts from the early days of computing.

The exhibit sparked plenty of memories and reminded us just how far technology has come.

We often ask whether life exists somewhere else in the universe. But what if the better question is: which planets ever had a chance?
With thousands of planets already discovered beyond our solar system, scientists are developing new ways to identify the worlds most likely to hold onto an atmosphere and potentially support life. Each step brings us a little closer to understanding our place in the cosmos and whether Earth is truly unique. https://f.mtr.cool/ghqhfkalzv

We had a full house at our Lei Making Workshop, where participants created beautiful floral leis using a colorful selection of fresh and exotic flowers.

Held in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the workshop offered an opportunity to explore the art and cultural significance of traditional Hawaiian lei making.

We learned basic techniques while gaining insight into the role of lei as a symbol of connection, respect, and celebration in Hawaiian culture.

The room was filled with creativity, conversation, and the fragrance of tropical blooms as everyone crafted their own unique designs. It was a fun and engaging experience, and we loved seeing the smiles and finished creations at the end of the workshop.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success.
