🌿 August Bible Girls is here!

This month we’re studying Psalm 1 and what it looks like to truly delight in God’s Word.

Psalm 1 is only six verses, but there is SO much packed into this little psalm.

We’re looking closer at walk, stand, sit, digging into what it means to meditate on Scripture, learning more about how the book of Psalms is put together, and making connections to other places in Scripture along the way.

But more than anything, I want this month to encourage our girls to WANT to be in the Word.

Not just because it’s something they know they’re supposed to do, but because they’re learning to treasure the God who has given it to us.

Our sticker subscriptions are just a starting place . . .

I never want these subscriptions to replace opening your Bible and studying it for yourself. I want them to help you get curious . . . to notice things you may have skimmed past . . . and then give you room to add what you discover along the way.

Because at the end of the day, the goal isn’t to fill our Bibles with stickers.

The goal should NEVER be a thick Bible for the sake of having a thick Bible . . .

It’s to fill our hearts and minds with His Word and grow closer to Him. 📖

A little Sunday reminder . . .

You can’t pour out all week from an empty tank.

Come fill up. 📖⛽️

Not with more noise.
Not with more scrolling.
Not with another to-do list.

With the Word.

Because what fills you on Sunday has a way of carrying you into Monday. 🤍

One more load of laundry. One more email. Get a jump on Monday. Catch up on everything we didn’t finish last week.

But there will always be something else to do.

Rest reminds us that the world keeps turning when we stop. God is still at work when we are not. His provision does not depend on our productivity.

Close the laptop. Let the laundry wait. Sit a little longer. Open your Bible. Worship. Be with your people.

Tomorrow will have enough work of its own.

But today you can rest and trust in the only name worthy - Jesus!
