Most field technicians are not against asking for reviews.

They are against awkward scripts, slow apps, forgotten passwords, and processes that make them feel like a salesperson at the customer’s front door.

Fair enough.

If a business wants a consistent customer-feedback process, it needs to make the ask simple enough for the real world. Fast. Natural. Clear.

That is what we are building at Were You Happy?: a better way to help service teams connect a good experience with an honest customer review.

Business owners, what is one process you wish was easier for your team?

A less-than-perfect review is not always bad news.

Sometimes it is the first honest signal that a customer felt confused, rushed, ignored, or disappointed. That is not fun to read, but it is valuable if a business is willing to listen.

The goal should never be to hide from the truth or pressure people into leaving five stars.

The goal is to understand the customer experience, respond with care, and make the next job better.

That is how real trust is built.

As a customer, what makes you believe a business actually cares about feedback?

Imagine doing 20 great jobs this week and getting zero reviews.

That does not mean the customers were unhappy. It usually means nobody made it easy for them to say something.

That is a huge missed opportunity for local service companies.

Every honest review helps the next customer feel more confident about calling you. Every missed ask leaves that trust sitting in the driveway after the truck pulls away.

Good work should not stay a secret.

If you run a service business, what gets in the way of asking happy customers for feedback?

A customer will not remember every line item on an invoice.

They will remember whether the person who showed up listened, explained the problem, respected their home, and left them feeling taken care of.

That is the real customer experience. And it is what people talk about when a neighbor asks, “Who did you use?”

At Were You Happy?, we believe a review should be the natural result of a job done well, not a weird automated message that shows up days later.

The best question a service company can ask at the end of a job is also the simplest:

Were you happy?

What do you remember most about the last service company you hired?

The people doing the work should be proud of the experience they create.

That is why we believe customer follow-through should feel less like a boring corporate requirement and more like a team standard everyone can see.

Celebrate the technician who checks in with the customer. Celebrate the branch that consistently follows through. Celebrate the manager who uses feedback to make the next job better.

The goal is not to chase five stars.

The goal is to build a team that cares enough to ask, listen, and improve.

That is the kind of field culture we want to help service businesses build with Were You Happy?

A real business does not need every customer to leave five stars.

A real business needs to know what happened.

Maybe the customer loved the technician. Maybe the scheduling fell apart. Maybe a job went sideways and the team needs a chance to make it right.

Honest feedback gives a business the chance to learn, recover, and earn more trust over time.

That is better than pretending every experience was perfect.

The best service companies do not run from the truth. They use it.

What is the most useful piece of customer feedback you have ever received?

Nobody is excited to open an automated email three days after a service appointment.

But people remember the technician who listened, solved the problem, cleaned up, explained what happened, and asked one simple question before leaving.

Were you happy?

That is not a marketing trick. It is a customer-experience habit.

Technology should make that habit easier to repeat. It should not turn every interaction into another cold automation.

If you have ever left a review for a service company, what made you decide to do it?

You fix the leak. Restore the room. Get the AC running. Keep a family from having a terrible day.

Then you leave, and that moment disappears.

The next person looking for a plumber, electrician, or restoration team never sees the work you did. They only see the businesses that consistently show up online with fresh proof from real customers.

That does not mean you need to spend more money on ads.

It means you need a better way to connect the great work happening in the field with the people searching for help tomorrow.

That is why we are building Were You Happy?

Running a service business is hard enough without fighting with your software vendors.

At Were You Happy?, our core value is to Out-Care and Out-Educate. We know that handing you a piece of software doesn't solve your problem. Getting your team to actually use it does.

That is why we focus heavily on field adoption, training, and making sure the system actually works for the guys in the trucks, not just the guys in the office.

We are building a different kind of company for service businesses that want to win.

Stop begging your customers for five stars. It makes them uncomfortable, and it makes your business look desperate.

Instead, ask them the only question that actually matters: "Were you happy?"

If they are thrilled, our platform makes it simple for them to share that experience on Google. If something needs attention, the business should see it quickly and respond. No gating. No hiding. Just a better process for listening and improving.

Earn the trust, ask for the truth, and build a reputation the right way.
