We’re proud to support The Arc Gateway, Inc., a wonderful organization that has done so much for people with special needs in our community over the last 65 years.
Today we are recognizing our Corporate Sponsors and dear friends at Commstructures, Inc.
Jim and his wife Sherry had their daughter Jamie in 1999 who was born with Down Syndrome. Shortly after Jamie was born they were introduced to The Arc Gateway where she began receiving services. “I cannot express how thankful we were to have an organization jump in and provide therapies, guidance and any other assistance they could to help our family.” Says Jim.
A couple of years after their introduction to the Arc Gateway, they were asked about serving on our Board. Both Jim and his wife served several terms, alternating on and off. Jim was also a recent member of our Foundation board.
With their involvement on the Board, they came to realize Jim’s company, CommStructures, had a number of services that could help with certain aspects of the agencies goal which is to employ clients. Jim, his sister Christy & brother-in-law/business partner, Jim Harpole, took a tour of the facilities and were hooked. Over the years they have been able to assist Pollak Industries and Pollak Training Center with equipment maintenance issues, fabricating concrete molds and equipment installation to name a few.
“Everyone here at CommStructures feel that we get back much more that we put in. Harpole, myself, our families and employees have been blessed with the opportunity to be associated with The Arc Gateway.”
Jim, his family and CommStructures have been such a blessing to our agency. We are so thankful for all that you do. Can’t wait to have some BBQ at our Annual Meeting April 11th!
