🎨 What Do the Colored Flags Mean?
Utility companies use standardized color codes to mark what’s below ground:
🔴 Red – Electric power lines
🟡 Yellow – Gas, oil, steam, petroleum
🟠 Orange – Communication lines (internet, cable, phone)
🔵 Blue – Drinking water
🟢 Green – Sewer and drain lines
🟣 Purple – Reclaimed water, irrigation
🩷 Pink – Temporary survey markings
⚪ White – Proposed excavation area (your planned dig site)
