Following up on Saturday's dead Nintendo Switch OLED post, here is a quick look showing us dropping that tiny new BQ24193 battery management chip into place before it gets reflowed onto the board.

⚡️ The Danger of the Wrong Cable! ⚡️

We're working on a repair on a Nintendo Switch OLED that came in completely dead from a power surge across the board. Customer reported using the wrong charger before died.💥

This wiped out:
* The USB-C charge port
* The Power Management chip
* The BQ24193 Battery Charging IC (Pictured)

This is the final stretch of the repair: diagnosing the battery charging IC chip. During diagnostics, PIN 7 and PIN 8 were reading outside of their normal voltage ranges, confirming this chip was bad.

🖥️ No Display? It Might Not Be What You Think!

When this computer was dropped off, it wouldn’t display anything on the screen. Most people assume a dead monitor or a bad graphics card is to blame.

🔍 The Diagnosis: After component testing, we uncovered the issue: a failed CPU.

🛠️ The Fix: We swapped out the bad processor and applied fresh thermal paste. The PC is now posting, booting, and displaying perfectly!

🚨 Black screen + loud fans? Here is the fix! 🤫💨

This HP laptop came in for a data recovery and a laptop upgrade, but it wouldn't boot. On laptops with removable RAM, the sticks can come loose and dislodge if bumped or dropped.

The Fix: We did a full teardown, reseated the RAM, and it booted right up! Data saved. 🎉
