Steve VanGorder, the owner of SVG Motors, breaks down how switching from Rapid Recon to Cartuul helped his dealerships get cars to the frontline fasteršŸ’Æ

From sales to service and everything in between, Cartuul connects the entire dealership.

No more guessing where the car is.
No more bottlenecks between departments.

Just pure productivity, more accountability, and faster reconšŸ’Æ

ā€œIt looks complicated.ā€

That’s what most people say before they actually use Cartuul.

And they’re not wrong.

Something can be complex… but still be easy to use.

Cole Saunier, Inventory Manager at SVG Motors, just spent last week switching from a ā€œsimpleā€ recon tool…

Because simple. just. wasn’t. working.

Cars were still getting lost.
The process was still messy.
Time to frontline was 18+ days.

Here’s the reality:

Recon isn’t simple.

You’re dealing with multiple departments, vendors, RO approvals, transport, auction issues, and much more…

And most ā€œsimpleā€ tools only track cars. They don’t help your team execute.

Cartuul wasn’t built to be simple.

It was built to make your operation work.

Yes, there’s more to it.

But once it’s set up to your process, everything is in one place, it flows, and your team actually uses it.

So the question is:

Do you want a glorified spreadsheet that just tracks cars…

Or do you want something that actually helps your team execute the work?

03/17/2026

SVG Motors (7 rooftops) in Ohio just dumped their old recon system for Cartuul.

Why?

Because most ā€œrecon platformsā€ are just glorified spreadsheets.

Cartuul actually molds to how your dealership operates, not the other way around.

Ryan Brunk breaks it down šŸ‘‡

We didn’t get a ton of content at NADA… and honestly, that’s a good thing.

Because we weren’t there to film. We were there to work.

We talked to 150+ dealers during expo hours, and when the booth got busy, it was all hands on deck. Even those responsible for content were deep in conversations. No standing around. No fluff. Just real talks with real operators.

One mission: talk to as many dealers as possible.
Everything else was a bonus.

And almost every conversation fell into one of two buckets:

Still running recon on spreadsheets and group chats
or
Stuck with software that feels rigid and limiting

Both mean the same thing… opportunity to do better.

That’s exactly why Cartuul exists.

Less filming. More building. More listening. More dealers.

Worth it. šŸ’Ŗ

Check out the progress one of our BHPH clients made between September and December. By tightening their reconditioning process, they didn’t just move faster—they moved more volume.

The Results:
• Inventory Volume: Increased from 90 to 121 cars (+34%).
• Time in Recon: Dropped from 38 days to 23 days (Saved 15 days!).
• Time to Frontline: Slashed from 44 days to just 24 days.

In the BHPH world, every day a car spends in recon is a day it isn’t making money. By shaving 20 days off the total lead time, this dealer is getting units to the frontline nearly twice as fast, allowing them to serve more customers and keep their lot fresh.

P.S. You might notice the individual timeline steps don’t always add up perfectly to the average. This is because every car’s journey is unique—not every unit requires every step (like a windshield or body shop). Our data is also normalized to exclude outliers, providing a true look at the ā€œtypicalā€ healthy flow of the shop.

P.S.S. They’ve already shaved off another day in January, according to our rolling 30 day average!
