We’re so grateful for the incredible support we’ve found in the Nashville community. Since opening our fourth ITWorks location last year, it’s been an exciting journey of growth and connection. We’ve worked to build meaningful relationships within the local technology community and have connected with individual who are as passionate as we are about investing in the next generation of IT talent in their city.

Last week, we had three lunch and learn sessions where current students were able to interact with local professionals and learn some important lessons, one of which included how to, “Focus on the results, and bet on yourself”. Thank you to these supporters who have taken the time to give back to our students: Janic Denson and McKenna Kaufman-Pickett from Quanta Manufacturing, Chris Abbey from Fortified Health Security, and Mark Blaze from Greater Nashville Technology Council.

If your organization is located in Nashville, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, or Delaware and is ready to help mentor young IT professionals, learn more about how to get involved with ITWorks at https://bit.ly/3RMlC6u.

When nonprofit website security gets put on the back burner, your organization’s sensitive data can be left at risk. Even though website protections may not seem like a top priority, if neglected they can lead to devastating consequences.

To help your nonprofit maintain focus and strengthen resilience, we’ve gathered the top six hidden website vulnerabilities putting nonprofits at risk. Some of which include…

• Outdate Software and Plugins
• Lack of HTTPS Encryption
• Unsecured Forms and File Uploads

★ CGI group staff spoke with a current cohort about the technology sector.
★ Shauna Sprauge from Amazon helped our students understand more about self-advocacy and advanced communication.
★ Long-standing volunteers from SDMI hosted an engaging Lunch and Learn with interactive content.
