What inspires us. The most important thing I learned about graphic design was from this man during a 4 hour walk around Basel, Switzerland. What was his advice for all of us wide eyed soon to be finished and out in the real world design students. "You can't be a great designer unless you open up your eyes and look at the world around you. Look at the architecture, fashion, colors, it all affects what we do." It is good advice that I have followed throughout my career. I consider myself very lucky to have met him and learned from him, even if only for a moment.
