Looking for something different to do this Friday night? Whether you're into bush flying, eSTOL competition, aerobatics, warbirds, helicopters, or just great aviation entertainment, you won't want to miss Friday Night Silo Field hosted by the Wild River Bush League!
This isn't just another multiplayer flight...it's an all-night aviation celebration that brings together some incredibly talented pilots from across the Microsoft Flight Simulator community.
One performance I'm especially excited for is Charlie Morris and his incredible American Champion Super Decathlon aerobatic routine.
Many of you may recognize Charlie because he was one of the early testers for my HS713 Super Decathlon. Having someone who actually owns and flies a real Super Decathlon helping evaluate the aircraft was invaluable throughout development. His feedback was one of a few that helped ensure the airplane captured the spirit of the real machine.
Charlie isn't just a simulator pilot either.
He's the owner of Charlie Morris Airshows, flies his own Super Decathlon professionally, and is also a certified aerobatics instructor.
Even more impressive, Charlie was mentored by legendary airshow pilot Greg Koontz, one of the most respected aerobatic performers and instructors in aviation. You can definitely see that influence every time Charlie takes to the sky.
Events like this are also a testament to what an amazing community can accomplish. Much of the talent participating comes from a Facebook community that was started only last year and is already approaching 10,000 members. It's incredible to watch the eSTOL and backcountry flying community continue to grow and bring aviation enthusiasts together.

A huge thank you to Chris at Wild River Bush League for putting these events together. He's helping introduce thousands of pilots to an entirely different side of flight simulation, and it's awesome to watch the community continue to grow.
