Way to go Pittsburgh Walk of Fame! We look forward to joining them and the other guests on October 20th. Our partnership has been a blast so far, and we are honored to be a part of this unique physical and digital experience for Pittsburgh.
It’s Happening…
And You’re Invited!
The Pittsburgh Walk of Fame is moving from vision to reality, and you can be part of the history-making, inaugural induction ceremony, featuring special guest Michael Keaton.
On Monday, October 20, at 10:30 a.m., we’ll cut the ribbon on this exciting new visitor attraction, located at the Strip District Terminal, and we’ll unveil the first ten stars in the sidewalk. Join us as we honor inductees George Benson, Nellie Bly, Andrew Carnegie, Rachel Carson, Roberto Clemente, Michael Keaton, Fred Rogers, Jonas Salk, Andy Warhol, and August Wilson—all luminaries with ties to southwestern Pennsylvania who have made notable contributions to our nation’s culture.
The one-hour ceremony is open to the public, and Smallman Street will be closed to traffic from 17th to 21st streets to accommodate the festivities. Plus, the River City Brass Band will be on hand, adding its distinct musical stylings to the celebration.
Take time for a walk and be there!
