As an Alliance AV Specialist/Technician the candidate will be required to travel from location to location throughout the Tri-State area servicing support tickets and projects which include but not limited to installation, replacement and repair of A/V components. The job will entail speaking with building managers, project managers, and engineers to uncover, obtain and upload documentation to the Alliance network. Training will be provided based on current experience.
Responsibilities
• Structured cabling
• Install and configure Audio / Visual equipment
• Maintain an understanding of the product and its advancements to serve as adviser to client users
• Conduct full-scale on-boarding to ensure a properly deployed and functioning environment
• Provide appropriate reactive support to insure satisfactory resolution to inquiries
• Monitor, track and analyze trends in service requests and systems issues to provide quality feedback to the technical team and Account Management
• Remain current on industry standards and advancements
• Perform multiple customer site visits and perform in a demanding environment with changing priorities
Requirements
• Must own, be able to use and operate all hand and power tools necessary for job completion. (Includes but not limited to, standard hand tools, soldering iron, power drill, multiple crimp tools) – Specialized tools shall be provided. (purchased after hire)
• Travel throughout the NYC area
• Common understanding on a construction site
• Low Voltage knowledge
• Basic understanding of Audio Visual
• Cable Pulling, cable termination, support installation for devices (displays, projectors, speakers), device configuration, systems testing, fault finding/resolution and preventative maintenance when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and tasks
• Ability to articulate and document technical issues
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter with ability to work with limited direction
• Flexibility, integrity and creative problem-solving skills
• Valid drivers license required
• Associates degree or better preferred but not required
• Ability to travel out of the Tri-State area for up to a weeks time preferred but not required
