The USCIS has announced that the initial registration period for FY2023 H-1B CAP will open at noon (ET) on March 1 and run through noon (ET) on March 18.

Prospective petitioners seeking to file H-1B CAP subject petitions for the FY2023 (including for beneficiaries eligible for the advanced degree exemption) must first electronically register and then pay the associated $10 H-1B registration fee for each beneficiary. USCIS will notify of the selected applications by March 31. The H-1B applications of the selected beneficiaries can be filed between April 1st to June 30th.

Timelines:

Jan-31 - Mar-01 -- Data collection.
Mar-01 - Mar-18 -- Electronic Preregistration.
Mar-18 - Mar-31 -- Lottery Results.
Apr-01 - Jun-30 -- Filing of the H-1B petition for the applications picked during the pre-registration.
