A lot of people think humidifiers are only for winter, but that’s a common misconception.
Short answer: yes, but it depends on your indoor air, not the season.
A lot of people turn their humidifier off once summer hits, assuming the air is already humid enough. But air conditioning can actually dry out your space more than you think.
It may still help if you’re using AC often, waking up with a dry throat, noticing dry or irritated skin, or running a room for little ones with more sensitive airways. On the other hand, if your space already feels sticky or sits above ~50–60% humidity, it’s better to pause it to avoid excess moisture.
The goal isn’t “humidifier on or off” by season, it’s keeping indoor humidity in the 40–50% range for comfort.
Save this for when you’re wondering whether to keep it running this summer 🤍
