Thank you to the 20 people who participated in our DV Tech Initiative monthly meeting this past Thursday. Our goal is to reduce commute times, traffic and related environmental impacts, while improving quality of life, by creating a thriving tech sector in the Diablo Valley region. The cities of Concord, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek are our primary focus. Tech will likely come to our region at some point, however together we can expedite the process while helping bring it together in a more interconnected, cohesive and constructive way. This starts with building this networking group with all tech professionals living in the Diablo Valley region. Please share this group with anyone you think can benefit from networking with other tech professionals in our region.
Those who want to participate in this initiative, our immediate focus is researching:
1. All local real estate options for businesses and housing.
2. Local professional demographics.
3. Suitable businesses and Venture Capital to target locally.
4. Transportation impacts and incentives to allow for transportation accommodations.
5. All state/local incentives for companies to stay/come to the region.
