Due to delays in another construction area, we’re able to shift additional focus and resources to Tampico and are now ready to begin scheduling site assessments.

If you’ve already submitted your information, a member of our team will be reaching out soon to answer any questions and schedule your first appointment as we prepare to connect your home to our fiber network.

Our construction crews have been moving quickly, and we anticipate being able to get customers online later this summer!

Strada Communications – Albany, Illinois Update!

We’re excited to share that we’ve officially started running drops to homes! If you’ve already completed your site assessment, you’ll begin to notice flags and our crews in your yard. These flags mark underground utilities as we prepare to safely install conduit and bring fiber directly to your home.

⚠️ Important: These locates are there for your safety and ours. Please do not move, remove, or disturb the flags, as they show where existing underground lines are located.

By completing this step now, we’re setting things up so that once the mainline construction is finished, installations will be quick and seamless—almost like flipping a switch! We’re on track to have everyone ready for installation around July.

We wanted to circle back on the SCAM alert in Prophetstown we shared about a month ago. Since then, we’ve learned that the same company involved has also been speaking about us to current and potential customers of ours, in ways that don’t reflect who we are or how we operate.
We’ve also been made aware of situations where work from this company may have been completed on homeowners’ properties without their clear knowledge or consent. This is extremely concerning and not something that should ever happen. No company should be entering or performing work on your property without your full approval. This nationwide company has a long track record of poor customer treatment and unreliable service. We urge you to think carefully before placing your trust in a provider with that kind of reputation.
At Strada Communications, we believe actions speak louder than words. Our customers can tell you—we do not change prices, we don’t reduce speeds, and we’re committed to providing reliable, 100% fiber internet right here from your local community.

We’re excited to welcome you to our newest fiber build area! As construction begins, we wanted to share a helpful FAQ so you know exactly what to expect over the coming weeks and months.

What kind of work will I start seeing?
Our construction crews are now working to install the main fiber infrastructure underground throughout your neighborhood. You’ll see crews and equipment in the area as they place the backbone of our network.

What is a site assessment and why does it matter?
We are currently scheduling site assessments for interested customers. This is an important first step that allows us to plan and install your private fiber drop (the line that runs directly to your home) at the same time as main construction—helping speed up your overall connection timeline. All construction is free of charge and we’ll do all the heavy lifting to bring you fast, reliable internet service.

Will crews be working on my property?
Yes, in most cases work will take place within utility easements. Our crews will install individual fiber drops to homes during this phase. We take care to minimize disruption and treat your property with respect.

What is the expected construction timeline?

Now – June: Main infrastructure installation

June: Completion of mainline construction (weather permitting)

Late June / Early July: Fiber splicing begins

Early July: We begin contacting customers to schedule installations.

Installations are on us! There is no charge to get connected.

What happens after construction is complete?
After the main construction wraps up, our crews will return to restore any disturbed areas. This includes placing straw and grass seed where needed.

If you notice any issues (such as settling or low spots caused by rain), please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re committed to making it right.

What services will be available?
We are building a brand-new, 100% fiber optic network that will provide:
High-speed, reliable internet
VoIP (internet-based) phone service
At this time, we do not offer traditional TV service, but we’re happy to help you explore streaming options that fit your needs.
