WTH was I thinking getting her the cool chair, the cool desk, the cool NEONS! Psh. She’s lucky I love her 😆

I stole her chair a while back because I was working on an ottoman and wellllll she just stole it back. So I have to use her desk until I go get myself a chair.
My work friends tonight are a betta named “Holly” who won’t stop staring at me, and all these cool lights I’m low key jealous of. 🤣

80/94 traffic never seems to end even on weekends 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Today I

✔️ cleaned and fed the chickens
✔️ watered the garden
✔️ met with 2 clients in IL
✔️ drove home n got stuck in traffic (idk y there is always an accident, but it’s law on this highway)
✔️sent a couple quotes and a couple emails
✔️worked on my current client builds
✔️now I’m watching Nick cook dinner on the grill and enjoying this gorgeous night

Can I tell you why I actually started Nap Time Web Design?

Because I kept seeing small business owners get quoted $3,000–$5,000 for a website by agencies, which they cannot afford. AND they’d have to call someone just to change their hours. Pay a monthly fee just to swap a photo. Be completely dependent on someone else for something that is THEIRS.

That felt wrong to me.

So I started building websites during my kids’ nap times. Intentionally on platforms that real, busy people can actually log into and manage themselves. Squarespace. Wix. Shopify. Platforms built for humans, not developers. Platforms many of you use to manage your business online.

My whole thing is this: you deserve a website that looks high quality AND that you can actually run without calling me every time something changes.

I’ll build it, I’ll show you how it works, and then it’s yours.

Really yours. (Unless you don’t want that 😆)

And I’ll do it at a price that doesn’t make you want to cry.

My kids are louder now than when I started. My Website game is stronger.

First day of summer break = ice cream at Dog Days Ice Cream Parlor Honestly, I love this little town, and all the small businesses that make it so special!

Real talk, life has been A LOT lately. As most parents know, this time of year is pure chaos. End of school activities, hunting down library books that went missing sometime around February, and somehow every event, meeting, and party got scheduled into the same three-week window. We also snuck in a vacation, and I’ll be honest, I was not showing up here the way I had been.

Here’s the funny (and mildly humbling) thing about social media: the algorithm really does not like when you disappear. 😅 But juggling mom life, running a business, and just… existing sometimes means something has to give, and for a few weeks, it was this.

Nick n I decided to hit up the Sunset Hill Farm County Park Biergarten. All I can say is whoever’s idea it was to put the Biergarten in the playground area, you deserve all the good in the world 🤣 it was so nice to enjoy ourselves while letting the kids play, instead of them having to wait to play 😆 well done 🙌🏻🙌🏻 cheers 😁
