Biased user research can make us invest in the wrong things and is often downright harmful to the audiences we're trying to learn about. On the flip side, user research that's done well provides a deeper understanding of users’ needs. Juneteenth Conference was made to be a counterbalance to the biases, implicit or otherwise, that hold the Black community in tech and society back. It's a free, virtual conference organized to celebrate, learn from, and amplify Black voices and Black Excellence in tech. It will be held this Friday (6/19) and Saturday (6/20).
