We spent 10 minutes going door to door talking to our neighboring businesses about the US General Strike on Friday. In that time 4 businesses on our block agreed not only to allow us to post a flier on their door but to actively participate!

Spreading awareness can feel scary or vulnerable, but building community is the antidote - take a few minutes of your day to organize with the people around you! The discomfort is temporary but the results could change everything.

This afternoon we were invited to attend the ceremonial Right to Repair bill signing by ! It’s been such an honor working with so many awesome folks the last few years. Many thanks to and .janeensollman for including us today!

The bill now heads to the governor's desk. It will require manufacturing companies to stop gatekeeping tools and parts necessary for self-repair.

We did it! Yesterday, Oregon Legislators passed a bill for consumer electronics - the strongest one in the United States! It’s been an honor to work in coalition alongside wonderful folks from OSPIRG, iFixit.com, Environment Oregon, and FREE GEEK.

After 3 years of contacting representatives, educating our clients and community, testifying our advocacy both remotely and in-person at the State Capitol for this bill, we are so thrilled and we can’t thank Representative Courtney Neron for House District 26 and Oregon State Senator Janeen Sollman enough for their hard work and perseverance making this bill a reality!

This afternoon we also had the wonderful opportunity to talk to KGW’s Alma McCarty about Right To Repair, what it means for Oregonians and independent repair shops like ours, so keep an eye out for the interview airing tonight at 11pm!

Not enough coffee in the world this morning! We knew this day was coming, every other business in our complex and many in Multnomah Village have been burglarized in the last 12 months. We’re grateful the damage was relatively minimal and nothing they took will be of any value or use to them. 🫠

It’s rare for us to go a week without a handful of calls about these types of phishing attempts. This one landed in my inbox today so I figured a little side-by-side might be helpful. Look at the sender’s name, email address, spelling/grammatical mistakes, Google the phone number. Be incredulous, and don’t get fooled by these goons.
