Manus AI can build working web apps from single prompts and run research tasks while you sleep. Meta bought it for $2-3 billion. But is it ready for production use?

Our review covers the benefits (4x speed improvement, parallel agent processing, cost-effective at $2/task) and the limitations (stability issues, debugging loops, compliance gaps). We also explain when to transition from Manus prototypes to professional development.

Lovable lets you build full-stack apps from plain English prompts. It is fast, the UI looks good, and over 500,000 apps have been built on the platform.

But what happens when your prototype needs to become a production app? Our review covers the strengths, limitations, and the "last 30% problem" that most teams encounter. We share practical advice on when Lovable works and when professional development is the better path.

The latest Azumo AI Intelligence Brief is out. A week dominated by Google I/O, an enterprise rollout that resets the Big Four playbook, on-prem AI for regulated industries, and another shift in the U.S. compliance patchwork.

๐Ÿ”น Gemini 3.5 Flash and Spark Land at I/O
Google made Gemini 3.5 Flash generally available across the Gemini API, AI Studio, Antigravity, the Gemini app, and Search AI Mode. The model scores 76.2% on Terminal-Bench 2.1 and 84.2% on CharXiv Reasoning, beating Gemini 3.1 Pro on coding and multimodal benchmarks. Pricing comes in at $1.50 input and $9 output per million tokens, roughly a third of Claude flagship cost. Google also launched the Spark agent on Cloud VMs and a $100 per month AI Ultra tier.

๐Ÿ”น KPMG Rolls Claude Out to 276,000 Employees
KPMG signed a global alliance with Anthropic to deploy Claude across all 276,000 employees in 138 countries and embed it inside Digital Gateway, KPMG's AI-enabled client platform. The rollout expands a two-year U.S. pilot, starting with tax and private equity. KPMG U.S. will also serve as a preferred consultant for deploying Claude inside private equity portfolio companies. Anthropic took the #1 spot on the 2026 CNBC Disruptor 50 list the same day.

๐Ÿ”น OpenAI and Dell Bring Codex On-Premises
At Dell Technologies World 2026, OpenAI and Dell announced Codex for hybrid and on-premises environments. The setup connects GPT and GPT-Codex models through the Dell AI Data Platform, giving Codex access to internal codebases, docs, and business systems without data leaving the customer perimeter. Dell also launched PowerRack, a turnkey rack-scale unit with a six-hour deployment time. Healthcare, financial services, and defense teams now have a clean path to AI coding agents that respect data residency.

๐Ÿ”น Colorado Repeals Its Landmark AI Law
Governor Polis signed SB 26-189 on May 14, repealing the original Colorado AI Act. The new law narrows scope from broad high-risk AI to automated decision-making technologies in consequential decisions like hiring, housing, and lending. The affirmative duty to prevent algorithmic discrimination is gone, replaced by a disclosure obligation. Effective January 1, 2027.

Also this week: Andrej Karpathy joined Anthropic; Anthropic acquired API platform Stainless; a $30B raise at $900B-plus valuation is in negotiation; Google introduced Googlebook, an Android laptop signaling a move away from ChromeOS; Anthropic now lets Mythos partners share threat findings across customers.

๐Ÿ”น Service Spotlight: Azumo AI Agent Development

The latest Azumo AI Intelligence Brief is out. A week of structural moves: a $4 billion enterprise deployment company, Claude landing in small business workflows, Gemini reaching the factory floor, and Connecticut setting an October compliance deadline.

๐Ÿ”น OpenAI Launches $4B Deployment Company to Scale Enterprise AI
OpenAI launched a majority-owned subsidiary backed by $4 billion in initial investment at a $10 billion pre-money valuation. Nineteen global investment firms, consultancies, and systems integrators participated, led by TPG with Advent, Bain Capital, and Brookfield as co-leads. On day one the Deployment Company acquired Tomoro, adding roughly 150 forward-deployed engineers who will embed with enterprise clients. OpenAI is no longer just selling API access; it now has a professional services arm.

๐Ÿ”น Anthropic Ships Claude for Small Business
Anthropic launched a packaged suite of 15 agentic workflows for SMBs, integrating Claude with QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. Workflows cover payroll planning, month-end close, invoice tracking, lead triage, contract review, and cash-flow monitoring. Users approve each plan before anything is sent, posted, or paid. Anthropic also partnered with PayPal on a free AI Fluency course and is running in-person workshops in 10 U.S. cities.

๐Ÿ”น Google and Fanuc: Gemini Reaches 1.1 Million Industrial Robots
Fanuc, the world's largest industrial robot manufacturer, signed a deal with Google to integrate Gemini Enterprise and the Intrinsic robotics platform into its installed base of 1.1 million robots. The systems will understand natural language instructions, recognize objects, and coordinate autonomously across fleets. Fanuc shares rose 15.6% to an all-time high on the announcement. Google's Intrinsic platform is positioning as a horizontal software layer for industrial robotics.

๐Ÿ”น Connecticut SB5 Becomes Law: October 1 Compliance Deadline
Connecticut's AI Responsibility and Transparency Act passed May 1 and takes effect October 1, 2026. The law covers automated employment decisions, AI chatbot safety obligations including heightened rules for minors, and synthetic content provenance for platforms with more than one million monthly users. The Attorney General enforces most provisions; a private right of action exists for violations involving minors. Colorado is advancing similar legislation.
Also this week: Enterprise now accounts for 40% of OpenAI revenue with parity expected by end of 2026; Google TPU 8 launched with separate training and inference chips; Gemma 4 Multi-Token Prediction drafters deliver 3x inference speedup; Google previewed Gemini Intelligence and Googlebooks ahead of I/O on May 19.
