China AI is really leading the way. Manus.im is the latest. You have to apply for access if you don't have an invite code. (Which I didn't have.) I got approved Thursday morning. What makes it unique is it does deep research (currently for free) on a variety of topics. You can "see it work" and share the research if you like where they can see it "replay". (I should have realized this, but (obviously now) it takes longer to do the actual research than it appears to when it "replays.") The phrase "AI agent" gets thrown around A LOT, but that is a term for this too. (I'm going to be making very different agents accessing multiple AI APIs that work together for a series of projects using LangChain/LangGraph/Python.)

Now what I won't do with any AI is put any personal information or client code or code I would write. But for research it's fine. (I also haven't put a credit card on file with either Deep Seek or Manus.im.) For API access to Deep Seek I'm using Open Router which gives me access to many models from many providers using the same code; I just change the line of the model I want to use. I also keep my usual Gemini and ChatGPT monthly plans, but for API access I have funded API for OpenAI as well.

So I'm using Python more than I ever have in my life. But unlike PHP you can't just upload Python code to a server and expect it to run without "hoops". So I'm writing code in Python to upload it to my PHP program to put into a database so I'm not having to copy and paste my prompts and responses from the APIs. I already know a lot of the answers to the differences but I'm putting into Manus to see what it has to say. You can see the results at: https://manus.im/share/BVstUFCqRbOIXni0wPnapT?replay=1

Before I got approved a thread on X was asking for tasks to research and then they ran them and shared the results back with the people. (That's what got me hooked...that replay. :-) https://x.com/manusai_hq is their page on X. You can also see other Use Cases at their website https://manus.im/ (When you share, you have the option of asking it to be displayed on their page which I don't want.) There is a video floating around claiming to show 50 screens doing research and that is fake or not Manus at least. And someone has taken the code and made it into Open Source, but in my preliminary research it's pretty complicated at first glance to get running and I'm not sure if how powerful my computer is would be a factor or if there is a host option. Right now I'm staying focused on my multi-agent project(s) but I did want to point out that it exists.

Manus is a general AI agent that turns your thoughts into actions. It excels at various tasks in work and life, getting everything done while you rest.

https://gynh.com/Apple09092024 is the link for today's Zoom meeting from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Q & A before and after the event where Apple announces their latest product updates. Apple has scheduled their event from 1 pm - 3 pm eastern so I have 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. (Depending on attendance and engagement.)

How I use *free* Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) for YouTube live streams and special effects for Zoom, etc. Here is a behind-the-scenes view of how I combine OBS Hotkeys, Answer Questions Without Unmuting and Nested Scenes all working together to "go live."

With my HDMI capture card I can teach how to use a Roku, AppleTV, Amazon Fire TV, or any other HDMI source like a customer's DVD player. Here is a screengrab in OBS from yesterday's Cincinnati Reds game on DirecTV stream.

I just messaged a Facebook friend who it appears have taken over her account. (I blurred out her name for privacy...) Guys, this is serious...most of you have your settings too wide open that hackers can waltz right in. In 2024 your Facebook account needs to be as locked down as possible. It's not like "the old days" when you first started posting on Facebook.

All of the comments on her post that she's been hacked are not from her friends.

I'm intentionally posting this to the public, but if we're Facebook friends, reach out to lock down your account. "Just" because it's social media doesn't mean it's cavalier. Your data is what hackers are after and your Facebook posts and photos are a "treasure trove" for them. (Let alone if you use the same password everywhere...)

What does a book written in 1972 by author Les Dane say that is just as true in 2024? The answer(s) will be in a YouTube video tomorrow exclusively here on my business page.

Facebook cloning and account takeovers happen all of the time. And yet, among my friends alone, I see settings that are "wide open" almost inviting hackers in. Allow me to lockdown Facebook and help inform to minimize cloning of accounts as much as possible. And close all of the doors that permit hackers to takeover your Facebook account and you lose access.

https://linktr.ee/jimfridenmaker has been updated to be my business page here on Facebook and the YouTube live videos I've done. (I'll update the YouTube link on the LinkTree once I have some solid posting of videos that were not done live streaming with OBS.)

Have a tech question you'd like answered? Go to https://gynh.com/freeoh/ a few minutes before time. (freeoh stands for free office hours, *not* Ohio. This is open to everyone no matter where you live or work.) The Zoom link has already been updated. I join a few minutes early to get setup, but I won't admit the first person until 9:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Second office hours will start a bit over an hour from now. Saturday, February 24, 2024 (9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. EASTERN TIME) on Zoom. Free and open to customers and non-customers. Find the time in your time zone here: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20240225T023000&p1=tz_et&p2=tz_nst&p3=tz_nzst

Here is how it will work. Once you join, you'll stay in the waiting room until it's your turn. Zoom shows the order someone shows up so I'll admit you in that order. Each person will have about 20 minutes to ask questions and get answers. Please join and be ready so we don't waste time waiting. I'll play it by ear if there is a delay if I move on to the next person or not...hopefully that won't be an issue. Once your turn is up, you'll leave Zoom so it's only the next person and I hearing questions.

02/22/2024

And I am live in Zoom from Noon - 1 p.m. to answer tech questions.
https://gynh.com/freeoh is the link to my site page and and you will click on "Click the link for Zoom to be placed in the waiting room until it is your turn." once you're on the page.
I won't admit the first person until noon, but feel free to join now!

02/22/2024

When I scheduled the Zoom meeting, it wouldn't let me schedule for 11:30 a.m. eastern time. So I set it for noon - 1 p.m. Next office hours I'll have the Zoom link created before I announce the time. I'll post the Zoom link 5-10 minutes before I start. Sorry for the time change.
