ties in creating WordPress websites that are business assets, not 'just a website.'

After launching her own products and services using PLF (Product Launch Formula) for five years, Nancy has discovered that most small business owners don't even know they need a WordPress website until they want to launch a product or service. It is not until they run into one roadblock after another trying to integrate 3rd party programs they need for a successful launch, that they wish they had started with WordPress. Nancy has been a graphic designer and solopreneur for over 28 years. She also designs book covers, brochures, targeted marketing materials, and trade show banners: basically anything that has print on it. Fields Graphic Design is owned and operated by Nancy Fields.

Being visible does more than grow a business.
It helps people feel validated, appreciated, understood, and heard.

A question posed by author Matthew Kelly recently stayed with me:
“What small acts will you bestow onto others—helping them be seen—and create a tidal wave of goodness in their life?”

That question helped clarify something important about my own work.

I help people be seen and found online so they can be recognized for who they are, what they know, and what they have to offer.

Not as a performance.
Not simply as a brand.
But as a human contribution that deserves to be recognized.

There’s something powerful about truly being seen.

And Kate captured another important part of visibility beautifully:
“Absolutely. Visibility creates opportunities long before you know exactly where they’ll come from. The more consistently people see your ideas, your expertise and how you show up, the easier it becomes for the right clients, partners and opportunities to find you.”

That’s why I believe our websites can help create meaningful connection, too.

When your website clearly communicates who you are, what you do, and who you help, it becomes easier for the right people to recognize themselves in your message.

When that website is also thoughtfully structured for SEO and search engines, your message has a better opportunity to be found by the people who are already looking for what you know, do, or offer.

That’s what online visibility means to me.
It isn’t simply showing up higher in Google.
It’s helping the right people find you, understand you, and recognize the value of what you have to contribute.

And sometimes, that connection can change everything.

If you’re wondering whether your website is structured to help the right people find and understand you, I’d be happy to take a look.

I’m offering a complimentary 15-minute Website Structure Review where we’ll look at how your site is organized, where there may be opportunities to make your message clearer, and whether your website structure is supporting your online visibility.

The internet doesn't care how old you are.
And decades of experience won’t help if no one can find you online.

My favorite people to work with are in their 50s, 60s, and 70s.
They’ve spent decades becoming exceptionally good at what they do.

And the good news is this: Your success online isn’t about being younger.
It’s about helping the robots—Google, search engines, and AI tools—understand who you help, what you do, and why you’re the right person for the job.

Robots don’t know how old you are.
And they don’t care.
They’re looking for clarity, relevance, and authority.

Here’s what that means in practice:
A younger, less experienced professional can sometimes outrank someone with 30 years of experience simply because their website clearly explains who they help and how they help them.

That’s why so many talented, experienced professionals stay invisible online.

Not because they lack expertise.
Not because they don’t have an impressive reputation.
But because Google, AI, and the people searching can’t easily understand what they do.
And that can be fixed.

I want to be honest about something, though.
I didn’t always know this.
I learned it the hard way when I built my very first website.

I thought I had done everything right.
The site looked great.
Except for one problem: Nobody could find it.

That experience completely changed the way I think about websites.
Because a beautiful website isn’t enough if the right people never see it.

That’s why I enjoy helping experienced professionals get the online visibility they’ve earned—so their knowledge, reputation, and years of experience are finally as easy to find online as they deserve to be.

Your experience is an asset.

Your website should make that experience visible.

I hear this question all the time from experienced professionals:

“Why isn’t my content showing up?”

They have years—even decades—of knowledge and expertise. They’ve built successful careers, helped countless clients, and have something genuinely valuable to say.

But when someone searches online for the services or expertise they offer, they’re nowhere to be found.

The good news?
It can be fixed.

As someone recently commented:
“So many professionals reach out asking why their content is not showing up. It can be fixed.”

And Cynthia shared this:
“Nancy, this is such a beautiful and reassuring perspective. You have a wonderful way of making the digital world feel welcoming rather than overwhelming. Helping experts shine online is such important work, and your approach is incredibly empowering.”

My reply:
“Thank you Cynthia. The good news is most experts don't need a brand new website. They need their website content to be re-organized in a way that the search engine robots can understand. It makes all the difference in whether or not someone shows up online.”

And that’s really the heart of what I do.

You don’t necessarily need a brand-new website. You don’t need to chase every digital trend.

You need to make the expertise you’ve already earned easier for search engines, AI, and potential clients to understand and find.

Your experience is valuable.
Let’s make sure the right people can discover it.

If you’re wondering why your website or content isn’t getting found online, send me your link. I’d be happy to take a look.

In 2001, I took my mother into a CompUSA store.

She stood in the middle of the aisles, wide-eyed, looking around at all the computers, and quietly said:
“Where have I been all these years? I don’t understand any of this.”

That was the same year the iPod came out.
Technology has only accelerated since then. 😳

I think about her reaction often because I hear a version of it almost every week from smart, accomplished professionals in their 50s, 60s, and 70s.

People who have spent decades building successful careers and deep expertise.
Not because they’re incapable.
Because the digital world changed while they were busy doing the work they loved.

And the good news?
You don’t have to understand every new platform, algorithm, SEO strategy, or AI tool.
You just need your knowledge to be visible to the people already looking for someone like you.

Someone recently commented:
“Many experienced professionals don't have a knowledge problem; they have a visibility problem, Nancy Fields. The opportunity is to translate hard-earned wisdom into a form that's easy for both people and technology to discover.”

My response:
“Yes. It's all about organizing the website information into a structure so that the robots can send some traffic their way.”

That’s really at the heart of what I do.
I help experienced professionals turn years of knowledge and expertise into an online presence that search engines, AI, and potential clients can actually find.

Your expertise is valuable.
But if people can’t find it online, they may never know it’s there.

🔎 Is your website helping people—and AI—find you?

Some stories are difficult to tell, but they're often the ones worth sharing.

Today, I'm sharing a very personal letter to my mother—a reflection on love, loss, resilience, family, and the unexpected path that brought me to where I am today.

When I started my graphic design business in 1993, I had no idea it would become a career spanning more than three decades. Through life's ups and downs, my business has allowed me to keep doing what I love: helping entrepreneurs and small businesses build strong brands through graphic design, website design, marketing materials, sales pages, and now AI-powered marketing solutions.

Today, I'm especially grateful to be helping my grandsons grow their own businesses while welcoming the newest member of our family, my beautiful granddaughter, Rose.

Looking back, I realize that every challenge shaped both my life and my business in ways I never could have imagined.

I hope my story reminds you that even life's most difficult seasons can lead to unexpected blessings.

❤️ I'd love for you to read my letter and, if it speaks to you, share one life lesson that has shaped your own journey.

An Open Letter to My Mother…

Hi Mom…

…wherever you are in the spirit world.

Did you meet John when he passed over?

Like you, he fell and broke his pelvis. One year after his surgery, multiple hospital stays for undiagnosed infection, complete memory loss, 100 days in a nursing home, and 9 months at home on hospice care, he died.

As I reflect back on my life, I keep asking God, "What's next?" And…

"Why did I re-marry? Especially to a man who was 11 years older with health problems?"

The answer that comes back is: you raised me to be a homemaker and take care of older, sick relatives.

I still don't know "what's next," but I do know it was fortuitous to start my graphic design business in 1993, even though you asked, "Can't you just stay home and take care of your house?"

Didn't you realize that what appeared to be sunshine and roses was actually fertilizer?

I know how ashamed you were to have a daughter who divorced after 34 years of marriage, but it was a daily struggle to be married to an alcoholic who desired to live a single, self-indulgent life… and did.

Today they call it "gray divorce."

I call it fortuitous, because John cherished me. And I kept my business going, too.

Not only that — after John died, your beloved grandson picked up stakes and moved his family nearby.

Rose is five months old and the happiest baby I have ever known.

I'm still working. In fact, I've added Artificial Intelligence to my business.

Do you remember the day I took you into CompUSA? It was 2001, the same year the Apple iPod came out. You stood in the middle of the store, wide-eyed and dumbfounded: "Where have I been all these years? I don't understand any of this."

If you can believe it, technology has moved even faster since you passed.

You should be pleased to know that I am using all my years of knowledge to help both your grandsons in their own businesses.

They have asked me to build their websites, help with their online sales pages, marketing, and product launches. All the things I love to do.

I still love to cook, keep a nice, clean home, and just be their Mom — just like you taught me.

I miss you,
Your loving daughter

🚀 Your Book Launch Isn’t the Problem—Your Strategy Is

Most publishers, authors, and book launch professionals know how to create strong launch energy—funnels, ads, webinars, urgency, and big promotional pushes.

And while launches absolutely create visibility and sales, they are temporary by design.

A launch is a spike, not a system.

If your growth depends on launches, your business resets every time the campaign ends.

The real shift happens when you build beyond the launch:

✔ SEO-optimized websites that bring in daily organic traffic
✔ Evergreen content that continues working long after publication
✔ Strategic site structure that improves discoverability
✔ Lead generation systems that run consistently in the background

A bestseller creates a moment.
A strong SEO foundation creates momentum that compounds.

I specialize in SEO website building and optimization for publishers, mentors, and book launch experts who want sustainable visibility—not just launch success.

🚀 July SEO insight: Here's why your website isn't showing up in Google.

If you’ve been trying to improve your Google rankings, increase website traffic, or get more online visibility—but nothing seems to change—you’re not alone.

At one point, I honestly thought:
“Maybe I’m just not doing enough.”

So I did what most people do:
📈 Followed SEO tips
🧰 Used tools
⚙️ Tried every strategy I could find

But the results stayed the same.

And that’s when I realized something important:

Most websites aren’t failing because of effort…
They’re failing because of structure.

They’re built to look good—not to be understood by Google.

So what happens next?
People keep adding:
✍️ More content
🔑 More keywords
📢 More SEO tactics

But the foundation never changes.

💡 The real breakthrough is a mindset shift:

From: “What am I doing wrong?”
To: “Is my website actually built to be found in search results?”

That one question changes everything about SEO strategy, ranking potential, and long-term visibility.

“Once you stop asking what you're doing wrong and start asking what a website would look like if it were built to be found, the whole approach shifts from chasing tactics to building a foundation that actually works.”

That’s where real SEO performance, Google indexing, and organic growth begin.

💬 If your website isn’t showing up on Google, feel free to message me—I can take a look and point you in the right direction.
