Graphic Designer/Production Assistant

The ideal candidate will have: Creative ability combined with a positive attitude! Must be committed to quality, always paying attention to detail, consistently deliver outstanding customer service, and be able to function effectively in a fast paced environment. Ability to work well with other co-workers in a team environment, as well as independently and with the public is a must. Hard working and motivated, capable, versatile, and intelligent. Must take pride in work, but always open to constructive criticism and has a willingness to learn more.
Education: Solid knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Ability to learn multiple design and output programs.
Position description: Perform all aspects of sign making including but not limited to banners and large format print production process, workflow and activities, including pre-press, vinyl plotting & weeding, printer operation, finishing (lamination, trimming, routing) and
application/installation of products produced. Review and modify incoming design files as needed to ensure the best printing results. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on equipment as required. Coordinate with other staff on task management and scheduling to meet deadlines. Continually maintain a high level of product quality and craftsmanship. Innovate and embrace project challenges to find the best and most cost-effective client solution and companies profitability. Talking to clientele and taking orders. Designing for and communicating with clients.
Requirements: Good eye for detail and measurements. Ability to correctly read tape measure and/or scale. Monitor inventory levels, minimize scraps and waste by using ink, vinyl and substrates efficiently. Well organized & maintain a clean work environment. Ability to lift and move rolls of material and sheets of sign material and substrates. Reliable transportation.
