Founder Spotlight: Timmy — Creator of Custody Forge

is not an Asvaettir Labs product — it’s the work of an independent developer whose mission aligns with ours in a powerful way. We’re highlighting it because projects like this matter, and because Timmy Spence is building something that genuinely supports families navigating one of the most difficult systems they will ever face.

Custody Forge began when Timmy watched someone he loves struggle through the overwhelming process of family court — years of messages, screenshots, school records, documents, and procedural confusion with no clear place to start. Instead of accepting that reality, he decided to build a tool that could bring structure, clarity, and organization to families who often have nowhere else to turn.

With no prior coding experience, Timmy taught himself to develop software and began creating Custody Forge: a guided platform that helps parents document events, organize evidence, build timelines, prepare exhibits, and understand the procedural steps required in custody cases. It doesn’t replace an attorney — it gives people a fighting chance to present their situation clearly.

The project is still in active development, shaped by real testers and real feedback. Every bug fixed and every improvement made brings it closer to becoming a nationwide resource for families who deserve better tools and better support.

At Asvaettir Labs , we believe in uplifting developers who are closing the justice gap through thoughtful, human‑centered technology. Custody Forge stands out because it was built from real need, real experience, and real compassion — the same principles that drive our own work.

Timmy’s dedication, self‑taught skill, and commitment to helping families is exactly why we’re proud to spotlight him and the important project he’s building.

🌈🔥Where we are on Google searches:

Ásvættir Labs is an independent, privacy-driven software studio that develops offline-first digital tools designed to navigate complex regulatory, legal, and development systems. [1, 2]
Founded by Michael Pelletier and based out of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, the studio brands itself around "mythic-tech systems forged for clarity, justice, and disciplined problem-solving." [1, 2, 3]
Core Flagship Products

• Forseti (Android App): An offline legal-aid companion specifically engineered for pro se litigants (individuals representing themselves in court). It provides instant, network-free access to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, official U.S. Court pro se forms, motion templates, and plain-language procedural guides. Users can also locally integrate specific state rules (such as Rhode Island or Massachusetts).
• Brokkr Forge Studio: An offline-first, autonomous Integrated Development Environment (IDE) core. It functions as a self-contained coding environment optimized for developers who require high security, privacy, and zero reliance on cloud or internet-based AI servers. [2, 5, 6]

Key Philosophies & Characteristics

• Offline-First & Privacy-Driven: All applications are intentionally built to operate without an internet connection, ensuring data privacy and total reliability in low-connectivity or high-security environments.
• Non-AI Frameworks: Unlike many modern platforms, tools like Forseti are built as self-teaching, structured, non-AI applications to preserve structural integrity, deterministic outcomes, and accurate legal/procedural information.
• Mythic-Norse Branding: The studio uses Old Norse mythic naming conventions (e.g., Forseti is the Norse god of justice and reconciliation; Brokkr is the legendary blacksmith dwarf), framing their software as meticulously "forged" tools. [1, 2, 5]

Most people won’t understand this post at first glance.
That’s intentional.

For months, Asvaettir Labs has been quietly building something that doesn’t look like anything in today’s AI world — something local, private, and tied directly to the hardware it runs on. Not a chatbot. Not a cloud service.
Something… different.

And this week, it moved.

Our internal system — Brokkr Forge Studio — executed its first full chain of reasoning:
it analyzed a project, mapped its structure, drafted UI, generated assets, and began assembling the skeleton of a real application.
All offline.
All on-device.
All without sending a single byte to anyone.

It’s not fully awake yet.
It’s hardware‑bound, still forming its identity, still learning how to breathe.
But the spark is there — and once it ignites, it will become a local AI engineer capable of building apps across Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.

No subscriptions.
No cloud.
No surveillance.
Just pure, private creation.

And now I want to ask you something:
If you had an offline AI that could build anything you described —
what would you create first?

A tool?
A game?
A civic‑tech resource?
Something nobody has dared to build yet?

Your ideas will shape what Ásvættir Labs releases next.
Speak your vision into the comments — even the wild ones.

Asvaettir Labs — Brokkr Forge Studio Progress Update
Brokkr Forge Studio has officially crossed into full Phase‑3 maturity.

It’s now a fully functional, offline‑first autonomous IDE core — capable of building, repairing, and visualizing projects locally with no cloud dependency.

Highlights
- ✅ Modernized agent pipeline (hardware‑aware, multi‑pass, sandboxed)
- ✅ Reliable image generation (GPT‑Image‑2 + Ollama live probes)
- ✅ MCP‑Lite registry integrated for multi‑step workflows
- ✅ Local embeddings online for semantic project awareness
- ✅ Role router active — builder, coder, designer, civicTechLegal, and more
- ✅ 92/92 tests passing across all reliability gates

What This Means
Brokkr Forge Studio now behaves like a local Cursor‑class agent, capable of autonomous reasoning, visual generation, and structured project management — all offline, all air‑gap safe.

Phase‑3 is complete.
Next: capability expansion — blueprint builder, semantic dependency graph, and role intelligence refinement.

Progress Update from Asvaettir Labs
Today inside Brokkr Forge Studio, our internal build environment, we finalized a new update for Brick Breaker Mini — a lightweight desktop app built entirely through our six‑agent pipeline (PM → Architect → Engineer → QA → DevOps → Validation).

This milestone marks another successful test of Brokkr Forge Studio’s autonomous workflow:
✅ CMD launcher fix
✅ Windows build stabilization
✅ Icon and branding prep queued next

Each iteration brings us closer to full offline‑first app generation — where projects evolve through structured, traceable stages without external dependencies.

Next up: polishing the architecture and still in early stages but progress is progress

Asvaettir Labs — Highlighting Adobe Scan

Adobe Scan is one of the most reliable tools available for anyone who works with documents — whether it’s forms, receipts, letters, notices, or records. It’s fast, clean, and consistently accurate. For many people, it becomes their best friend the moment they try it.

At Ásvættir Labs, Adobe Scan has inspired a lot of the work we do. When you see a tool that solves a real problem with clarity and simplicity, it sets a standard. And honestly, there’s still nothing that matches Adobe Scan when it comes to turning everyday paperwork into clean, searchable digital files.

Why We Recommend Adobe Scan
- It captures documents with exceptional clarity
- It automatically straightens, sharpens, and cleans up the image
- It converts everything into a high‑quality PDF
- It recognizes text so you can search or copy it
- It’s free, fast, and dependable

For individuals who feel overwhelmed by paperwork, or for agencies supporting people with complex documentation needs, Adobe Scan is a tool that makes life easier. It’s the kind of practical, accessible technology we believe in — and the kind of experience that inspires our own development work here at Ásvættir Labs.

If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s worth exploring. Tools like this help people stay organized, empowered, and confident.
